The Tom Lynch thread is ground zero for the unhinged and mentally challenged in our society.
Set up a mental asylum on Punt Rd and slowly round them all up.
Just set up a social media style vox pop asking people what they think Lynch should have got and if they give a crazy answer then black hood, zip ties, extraordinary rendition. Enjoy Cairo

Yep tuggers in there are unhinged and throwing tantrums left and right
Their board is funny, because there are always a few sane sensible posters there.

Like there'll be an entire page of conspiracy rants, and then one poster will pipe up with "Hey guys, we all love Lynchy, but you just cannot go belting blokes in the head, it was stupidity from the big fella and he needs to cop his medicine".

Then they get shouted down and abused, and it sets off another page of arguments and sooking.

I feel sorry for some of their posters. Great thoughts, reasonable reactions, then verbally abused by the patients who took over the asylum

I’m incline to belive that 80% of those lunatics posters are just all Ellis of Falcon and Caro

Lynch getting suspended is definitely Steve hocking’s fault though.

Somehow there's still sporadic mentions of the behind in the EF against Brisbane... You know the one ARC got right and it was a behind.

Following Richmond really should be a neutering offence. That gene pool cannot be allowed to continue.

I noticed a reference to Danger's forearm on Vlaustin in the 2020 grand final too.

Rent free.

I'm not sure what funnier about this whole incident.

1. The fact Lynch got fewer possessions than reports out of the game.
2. The fact he couldn't even connect properly with his attempt at a strike.
3. The fact Butts looks like he got shot in the back of the head out of it.
4. The fact the tribunal found the impact to be "severe"
5. The fact that Tigers supporters are conflicted between a) believing this kind of AFL inconsistency is an AFL conspiracy, b) not wanting to win more games this season so that they get draft picks, and last but not least c) not knowing whether having Lynch miss 5 games will help or hinder their attempt to lose the remaining games of the season.

The MRO & tribunal have additional discretionary impact options when it comes to any high contact - be it a high bump or in this case a strike from a swinging arm, and that's "that the potential to cause injury"

So in the case of Lynch's connecting strike, under normal circumstances it would likely only be low or medium impact at worse - but using the MRO matrix that's only a 1 or 2 week holiday

Instead, what both parties have agreed to is that the strike from Lynch could have been a lot worse if it actually connected - so rather than "rewarding" him with only a couple of weeks on the sidelines cause he didn't connect, they've upped the impact level & time-out due to what could have happened if he didn't miss

If it were a separate planet, the Galactic Federation would just study it from orbit, with strict rules prohibiting contact.
