That’s being extremely generous. He was slaughtered in the ruck and around the ground.
Took a contested mark in the F50 (his only mark for the match) and that’s it.
I’ll be surprised if he’s on the list next year. Too timid for a ruck, weak overhead, and has ordinary skills.
I get he was a speculative pick and I’m not against him getting picked, but he’s proven to be barely VFL standard.

Against Oscar Mac.. he should have been slaughtered. He had a few moments. For a last picked VFL rookie... thats a win.
That bar is low.

He is the mark blake of the VFL. Going at 1 mark a game and has been towelled by some real average players this season. GFL is his level

Mark Blake was physically mature. He's a raw 1st year rookie too early to tell.

Even accounting for height and injuries in ruck division i don't understand that one. Hope he proves us wrong

This upcoming draft is poor and we aren't going to be desperate for the list spots and Conway and Edwards barely get on the park and molier hasn't played a game. I fan absolutely see why they would give him 12 months unless they have a Wells special earmarked for that rookie spot.

Yeah maybe, but I would think the lifelines would be reserved for guys like Bews ahead of him.

Bews should be getting retired/delisted because of his age and our need to stagger the retirements. It's not really linked to Pike anyway because he's not taking up a main list spot.

At risk of jinxing it if Clark, Molier, Hoffman and Guthrie all come in we could have 18 listed players running around in the VFL this week. Conway, SDK and Kolo the only 3 definitely not playing this weekend.

Clark is still out with concussion isn't he?

Clark's most recent concussion was 14 June or 19 days ago - yesterday's injury update still had him listed as out with concussion with a timeframe of "concussion protocols"

He had previously suffered a concussion in the VFL on the 17 May, which means 2 concussions in less than 30 days - being so close together the club may be taking extra caution with Clark with a look to the long term

Repeated concussions within a short period are often treated with extra caution - if we look at the recommendations from concussion study's, they say as part of the return to play protocols that it should be a 21 day break & that's what the AFL has mandated for all levels below AFL & AFLW

So maybe the club is looking to give Clark at least those 21 days this time and take things from there

Where's cats_09 with the VFL team, they're always first with the news!

Anyway, some interesting selections this week. Molier and Hoffman are in for their first games and Edwards is named first ruck (2nd game for him), moving Pike to CHF and surprisingly (if true) Polkinghorne to CHB. Kreuger is out, although he is not listed injured so...?

I think they just play around with vfl lists rather than take them seriously. I've seen some clearly in alphabetical order

I'm here 😁
