Really frustrating game to watch with all the turnovers, dropped marks etc leading to goals for Brisbane.
Jackson knows about football.
Something tells me Drew and BZT won’t be part of any future successes for the club. They are average footballers with no weapons.

Pissed it away in the 1st quarter when we couldn’t hit a target in our forward 50, despite the game being completely on our terms. Yes, Colgate Ken is a complete ass clown, but that shit show was on the players.

Really tough on SPP, just when he looked like rediscovering some old form, he’s gone for another 12 months.

Poor Rat just can’t get a clean run at it either after hitting career best form in recent weeks.

The List needs work, but one feels Carr’s got enough to work with to turn things around in the next few seasons.

I was only half watching this game so I could be off but from what I did see it looked like JHF had just about the worst game of his career. Felt like every time I saw him with ball in hand he followed it up with an unforgivable clanger that an ammos player would be embarrassed by.

A real mixed bag tonight. Some really good stuff, some really bad stuff, and devastating injuries.

Lost the game, but at least showed some fight and didn’t raise the white flag like we did in the Geelong game when faced with similar adversity.

Butters, Rozee and Georgiades are having great seasons.

Luko looked great, I think him and Georgiades are going to be great together.

Shattered for SPP though, that sucks, was playing a good game too.

And Hinkley, wtf. That was weird.

If you watched the full game Hornet had a lot of key moments whilst yes unfortunately stuffing a few up but there was good defence at critical stages too and brave situations. Whilst not his best form he still did good. just bad moments that were costly.

It wasn’t that bad, but it was a poor game.

Such terrible forward entries and bad defending summed the game up.

I noticed plenty of complaints in the game day thread about the songs. Imagine being at the ground subjected to that torture, year after year. My ears were bleeding.
They are pathetic supporters, I hate going to that ground. Burn it down.

Boak was good tonight. He deserves a more kudos I reckon, yeah he isn’t the same player he once was but to be nearly 37 and to still producing performances like that is impressive. We’ve got worse list cloggers than him.
He should only be allowed to dispose with his hands which are still elite but he shouldnt be allowed to kick

I was on a plane when the game started, landed and heard about Esava and Vincentini and knew we'd be f*c*ed. There's injuries and then there's structural injuries and Esava has been huge for us this year. Losing 2 talls like that is a hit and then for SPP to have done another possible ACL..very hard to beat the reigning premiers at home with one on the bench. I was in between flight 1 and 2 and could only listen sporadically to the last quarter but from all accounts it sounded like we "refused to die" early in the fourth and Luko and Georgiardis kept us in it until they couldn't. Not sure about the Boak hate as both SEN and 5aa said he'd tried his guts out and done some good work but like I said I missed a lot of of the game so not sure.

Is that it now? Are we mathematically done? And can someone fill me in on Hinkley and the joking around in the box - srsly?

the first quarter momentum killer boak. hes clearly not part of the plans next year and we cant play finals. get some game time into some youngens
And what exactly did he do in the first quarter that killed our momentum?
Come on, surely you can blame him for our loss...

He only had 27 possies at 81% DE

Went at 81% with 13 kicks. His first kick of the game stood out like a sore thumb though.

Never been a great kick, but isn't as bad as ppl make out. Definitely not bad enough to lose his kicking licence.

Apart from that awful 15 minutes in the first quarter when they blew us away we were reasonably competitive. Bad luck for SPP as he will miss the rest of the year and most of 2026. Apparently Hinkley got emotional as he realised this was likely to be the last game in which he coached Sam Powell-Pepper. I think that is fair enough.
