Which of the players StKilda offered big money too actually left?
It’s not as if they left their clubs and chose anyone but StKilda.
I don’t know every player they have offered money to

You posted all the players they offered money to went to other VFL clubs.
Who?
I mentioned 3 players who re-signed with their clubs in Qld. The sentence which followed is called hyperbole friend. It is often used on the old BigFooty when, for example, you don't sit within the walls of St Kilda and know all of who they offer these deals to or the details, but by virtue of the fact that no one of note ever goes to the Saints and they're trying desperately to spend the cap...its a safe assumption it is happening.
Alternatively, if you want to claim that the Saints have been successful in luring players to the club or that they never try to recruit players via draft or FA, I would love to hear your thoughts!

So in other words you made it up.
I reckon, every club should only get one NGA or father son per draft. So because we are going to get some flukey mid 20s NGA pick we should stop complaining about Gold Coasts multiple top 20 picks every year?
Ok
so if you had 3 fathers sons for the first time in 20 years you cant get them but you can get 1 every year for 20 years ?I reckon, every club should only get one NGA or father son per draft.
Gold coast getting 3 top 15 picks and just using a bunch of picks in the 30s and 40s is utter bullshit.
whats utter bullshit is every young player leaving Gold Coast including Rankine which your club has greatly benefited fromI reckon, every club should only get one NGA or father son per draft.

Why does a team need to be made up of majority locals this kind of defeats the purpose of a national competition as long as you have access to sufficient talent Australia wide , the afl is way to soft on it’s players look at other major sports the nrl a decent percentage of the Queensland origin team play for clubs not in Queensland. In America nba and nfl players are spread everywhere very few play at home town clubsA clear unwillingness to acknowledge this simple fact suggests any debate will continue to go around in circles.
You could even use an extreme example and say, as a QLD side, would you rather have 100% QLD’ers on your list, or 100% WA’ians (assuming an equally talented spread of players).
The answer is painfully obvious - to most. To not comprehend that the latter case constitutes a major disadvantage is nothing short of hilarious.
View attachment 2368371six out of the top 10 picks look like being compromised picks I’m not sure how anyone could argue that this is a fair system. Hopefully this draft will be the breaking point were meaningful changes are actually made afterwards
Point out then what part of the post is factually incorrect?? No other major sporting body in the world would allow this to happenAre there no first round father son or NGAs this year?
I do love these VFL programs continually rage baiting the VFL viewer. Its like Paul Murray Live for VFL fans. No context, just here's why you should be outraged. Don't ask any questions or think.

Doesn’t change the fact that the top ten is ridiculously comprised it’s laughable reallyWhy might that talent exist? Why might that talent exist in the first round and not later in the draft or rookie draft?

Removing the outside of top 40 for NGA draft picks will be hugely beneficial to Melbourne / SA / WA clubs. Can already see the effect with the amount of top end NGA talent coming out of SA for 26/27 draft.Doesn’t change the fact that the top ten is ridiculously comprised it’s laughable really

we've been through this so many times, would u do the same job in a different state for the same pay? the talent pool needs to be spread and the academies are helping it, you mention the NBA and nfl, show me where there is 10 teams in 1 city and the majority of the talent coming out of 1 city, not to mention the pay difference, completely irrelevant comparisonWhy does a team need to be made up of majority locals this kind of defeats the purpose of a national competition as long as you have access to sufficient talent Australia wide , the afl is way to soft on it’s players look at other major sports the nrl a decent percentage of the Queensland origin team play for clubs not in Queensland. it makes no difference that the nrl has no draft you didn’t address the point that nrl players are happy to move and stay at clubs interstate look at the Melbourne storm for example a professional run club , that has been successful without all the assistance that some afl clubs get and has not had problems with player retention, the afl have created a system were players are spoiled and given way to much powerwe've been through this so many times, would u do the same job in a different state for the same pay? the talent pool needs to be spread and the academies are helping it, you mention the NBA and nfl, show me where there is 10 teams in 1 city and the majority of the talent coming out of 1 city, not to mention the pay difference, completely irrelevant comparison
rugby league doesnt have a draft so another useless comparison

you have no idea what you are talking about, you aren't understanding its a different system, NRL has junior pathways basically they are academies! the melbourne storm have an academy which is also on the Sunshine Coast!it makes no difference that the nrl has no draft you didn’t address the point that nrl players are happy to move and stay at clubs interstate look at the Melbourne storm for example a professional run club , that has been successful without all the assistance that some afl clubs get and has not had problems with player retention, the afl have created a system were players are spoiled and given way to much power
