They can move their feet though without being screamed at .So without much thought we have 5 other sports where players have to stand in a stationary position while an action is performed.
Imagine how beautiful the flow of these sports would be if everyone could instead shuffle back and forward, side to side at ALL times. Alas, such a Utopian reality is beyond our reach.
It sounds more like he cooked your brain, and I say that with the greatest respect. They can move their feet though without being screamed at .
It is rare and the AFL rule is the rareist and most unusual of all. All cooked up by Stephen Hocking when he took LSD one night.
NFL lineman can'tThey can move their feet though without being screamed at .

Well excuse me. You guys are a scholar and and gentleman and Hocking has saved AFL.NFL lineman can't
Again, in NFL no they can't. If they do 'shuffle their feet' then a penalty will be called. They can move their feet though without being screamed at .

We'll relocate to Tassie the day after you guys totally fill Kardinia Park.Confidential report on relocation of Richmond to Tasmania
Your poor nephew, missing out on a chance to watch Geelong train. We'll relocate to Tassie the day after you guys totally fill Kardinia Park.
My nephew tried to get a ticket to the Cats v Tigers the other week - "sold out" sign up for the 40,000 seat stadium. Official attendance just over 31,000.
Somehow haven't worked out that counting of the people that have two or more memberships (I know one bloke who has four), the ones in Chin Chin who have to have reserved seat to get in etc etc. isn't a great plan.
Funnily enough that rule was bought in to combat Blicavs around the ruck.Stand is the only one of those I’d junk.
Was he also in charge when Rick nomination/ no more 3rd man up came in? That’s another stupid one (waiting for rucks to nominate)
He did manage to make it to a game played between the same two teams on Oct 24, 2020 in Brisbane though.....Your poor nephew, missing out on a chance to watch Geelong train.
He hasn't been able to get to any Cats games since? I'll see if I could pull in a favour to get him a ticket to the G for this year's rematch. He did manage to make it to a game played between the same two teams on Oct 24, 2020 in Brisbane though.....
That’s understandable. It all revolves around Geelong.Funnily enough that rule was bought in to combat Blicavs around the ruck.
Oh I’m not buying into the whether the changes are pro or anti Geelong. More just what changes I think are dumb. I have no issue if man on mark wants to move sideways or back as long as not over the mark/ forward of the markFunnily enough that rule was bought in to combat Blicavs around the ruck.
Only someone who has no real sense for the game would have an issue with that, exactly.Oh I’m not buying into the whether the changes are pro or anti Geelong. More just what changes I think are dumb. I have no issue if man on mark wants to move sideways or back as long as not over the mark/ forward of the mark

but that's the issue with conflict of interestBullseye. Exactly the same here.
but that's the issue with conflict of interest
you can swear till blue in the face that you weren't influenced, it's irrelevant
it's the perception of CoI that kills you
Shocking will be forever tainted by that
By Richmond supporters who genuinely believe their team's demise post 2020 was because of rule changes by the AFL, and not natural attrition and the fact the game had moved onit's the perception of CoI that kills you
Shocking will be forever tainted by that
yes, you can manage CoI, you must in fact, to retain credibilityEverybody involved in the league has conflict of interest. They wouldn’t be involved in the league if they didn’t.
