Everyone’s got their views on this.
Real ITKs. Phony ITKs. Optimists. Pesimists. Media. Tony74.
My thoughts are Nas stays. And that’s just based on a combination of many things (in no particular order):
- The media stories suggesting he likely stays.
- The Adelaide airport “interview”.
- The friendship group at RSEA Park.
- The magnificent job St Kilda has done in regards to the indigenous players and respecting their culture.
- Nas’s often mentioned love of the coach.
- Tony74’s comments.
- The lack of assets for Port to get a trade done.
- The high profile Nas is taking in regards to the Saints social media.
All things considered I reckon he’s staying.

Who wins out of 100 TDKs V 1 Longer
I’d say the Bergman deal is unders. Port would have to do much better than that. The issue with the steak knives suggestions for this trade is they don’t discount anything they have to give so then why do it?
To me based on what they have Bergman and 26 first OR Berry and both future firsts is the BARE minimum.
when you gotta go you gotta goA lot of unnecessary bedwetting going on.
The other thing to consider is list spots. Trading 1 player for numerous plus needing to take 3 draftees is another big cut to our existing personnel.I’d say the Bergman deal is unders. Port would have to do much better than that.
I’d say the Berry deal wouldn’t even be considered.
Port will have to give up significant player assets to get any deal done. It’s why any trade will also be a difficult one for them.
If he is homesick they’ve got a problem in 12 months time.I will say the Port board aren't crash hot on Whitlock leaving. Would be hilarious if Nas stays and we also get Whitlock.
Good point. The other thing to consider is list spots. Trading 1 player for numerous plus needing to take 3 draftees is another big cut to our existing personnel.
Not for either of those dealsThe other thing to consider is list spots. Trading 1 player for numerous plus needing to take 3 draftees is another big cut to our existing personnel.
At the moment he can't play anywhere, because he is Max.So Darcy can come back from a near season injury and go in the ruck yet our giraffe can't do a ruck contest because he is Max
Yeah well we don’t even want to think of minimums….or any trade really. The issue with the steak knives suggestions for this trade is they don’t discount anything they have to give so then why do it?
To me based on what they have Bergman and 26 first OR Berry and both future firsts is the BARE minimum.
If they wanna throw Whitlock in with either of those offers that’s fine but Whitlock or some other steak knives shit doesn’t get anything off those and we’re not gonna add anything in.
And I say that expecting most saints supporters will tell me to **** off with my minimums.

Definitely sounds a little orchestrated, doesn’t it.I don't buy the idea that Bergman is off limits because he signed a contract a few weeks ago. He was looking to come back to Victoria, then all of a sudden he signs a contract with Port, while Port are well aware NWM could be an option?
Guilty as charged!A lot of unnecessary bedwetting going on.
Interesting, was pretty interested in Jack Whitlock after the champs last year. Surprised he fell to 33.You’ve spoken with Jack Whitlock, who’s signalled he’s open to returning home.
My guess is that if Nas ends up requesting a trade to Port, Whitlock will be part of the deal in some capacity.
I see hammer as a true lock down and then Aleer and Tauru as hybrid/interceptors. Both seem to have great pace and agility too so it’s not quite like playing three big trucks in defense.
Wilkie probably takes a small and can also peel off to help Camma more. It’ll be horses for courses. We can (and should) play them all against Adelaide, we probably can’t against say West Coast.
Agree on the second point although I don’t know that Aleer on $750k is too big a concern, that’s not that much. $1.7 on TDK, $1.5 on Nas (if he stays) and $800k on Roma to not play is real limiting
Exactly.Because he's a key forward. Aleer is a backman. TDK is a ruck
A developing key forward is a need considering King's issues and Keeler being unreliable
I understand your reasoning for Berry, but as for Whitlock, a young raw key forward in a sanfl team that often gets belted by 10+ goals with really crappy f50 entry, there isnt much whitlock can do. Its an extremely inaccurate assessment. Both are behind the 8-ball in terms of proving their worthiness of the pick they were taken with let alone providing further trade value for an established champion with 300 elite games in front of him..

Ok Young Gun #6 whoever you are (presumably a Port supporter) interested to know why would you disagree with this?Definitely sounds a little orchestrated, doesn’t it.
Signed him up purposely while he obviously doesn’t mind staying with Port or going.
