Too late? How old is he? 21/22 or thereabouts? Ridiculous thinking it’s too late at that age, he’s maturing and getting used to the level and what’s required hopefully 🤞
He’s 4 seasons in and still has a poor tank and an average physique.

Thing about guys who work the hardest, is that every day they get better than guys who do the minimum.

Sonsie has half arsed his career to date, and making up all that ground is unlikely.

He has never been allowed to play his natural game and has had to learn to play a different role and position thats foreign to him.

Get him to 50/60 games
He stays another year for me and has more upside than players like Kosi , Dow , bauer , Prestia , McIntosh

We have done the hard work and lets not give up on him yet

Difficult ask to play out of position in a team being belted and where so few options to go forward.
Even the best players can seem hesitant in that situation.
It doesn’t excuse what seems to be an attitude at times but he strikes me as an attacking player who could be very good in good team.
This year is about blooding players and finding a bit more about them.
Just keep playing him and let’s see how how he goes .
Some very tough games coming up, so it will be interesting .
But still too early to be making a final call on him.

Think the biggest part that's impressed me, was how emotional he was last week and to come back the next week and play one of, if not his best game. Shows some mental strength and hit some big contests.
Got to give some kudos to the coaching and club leaders for that as well imo
They have obviously gotten around him during the week and helped him focus and turn up in the right headspace

Of course I would.
But it’s a low bar.
The second worst team in the comp beating the worst by 10 goals hardly indicates a strong opponent.
It was an open free flowing game, none of the physicality you get playing against the better teams.
I’m always happy to see a Tiger player perform well, and well done to him he played a decent game.
but yesterday did little to convince me that he has a long term future. I just don’t think he has the game that stacks up in high pressure contests.

Long time Sonsie hopeful, who lost faith recently.

By no means am I saying he’s saved his career with one good game, but by gosh, he could’ve gone one of two ways after last week, and he went the absolute best way possible.

His disposal and vision in congestion tonight was unreal.

I’m still hopeful for him, because he’s a bloody clever footballer… I just really hope he can continue the form.

Kudos young man, here’s to continued hope & faith in you!

same here, completely off him, would've delisted him weeks ago but he played a role last night that we have been desperate for someone to fill and played it well. made himself an option all night to relieve pressure and give us another avenue beside long bombs down the boundary. used it well and cracked in.

Pre-game West Coast were favourites and they've been in games this year. Just because we happened to turn it on this week and spanked them doesn't make any players contributions equate to less.

Let's see how he goes against a Pies side that will relentlessly pressure him.

Was very good last night against a garbage team.
Whoa whoa the Eagles may be garbage but.... nah I got nothing

Big test for him next week as you say, at least the confidence has been filled up a little bit after last week. That's the positive.

He's not Robinson Crusoe when it comes to this though. We've had many guys fail this year when the heat has been turned up. Why pick on just Tyler? Yes, he's not a hard edged player, BUT, he has more skill than most in the team when it comes to kicking on both sides of the body and making good choices in opening up play. To me, you can't teach those things. He is an innately good kick. He has been played out of position and has had to learn to cope with that.
He needs to be persisted with. We have McAuliffe to come back to provide grunt. Sonsie provides finesse.

Hes been far and away the worst for panicking and fumbling under no pressure and torching the footy.
