Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

There is about as much chance of De Koning re-signing as there is us winning the 2025 Premiership. Zero.

The longer it drags out, the more inclined I am to believe he'll stay.

All these contracted players apparently wanting out … and the two not contracted leveraging suitable compo.

Could not be better placed to reshape the list and level out the salary cap.

Of course, I don’t subscribe to this theory but we are very well positioned from a list management perspective if the sky falls like some are guessing.

I don't agree. We're in a mini-rebuild anyway. If players want out, that suits us.

I can't argue with TDK taking the money, even if he'd rather stay. It's a short career, and he owes it to himself to maximise it.

Confused. Collingwood - currently sitting atop the ladder and premiership favorites, having won a flag a couple of years ago, have put a offer to JSOS which they believe he is worth - this is despite them having already having pretty handy defenders in Houston, Moore, Maynard, Howe and Quaynor.

But we shouldn't match the offer because he's not worth it?

He is one of our best and smartest players and he will be hard to replace - not to mention Carlton Royalty.

He is part of the fabric of the club and has found his place in the backline where he can make a meaningful contribution. We should be making every effort to retain him.

Why would you even contemplate losing Charlie, JSOS & TDK. With Weitering, McKay, Cripps along with Walsh, Cerra, Hewitt, Jagga & Walker coming soon you have best Spine/midfield.

You have the worst flankers/pockets in the comp with the poorest skills. Bring in a couple of mature players with skills. Develop a couple of more. The top teams don’t gut the place.

BTW it’s obvious Voss is not up to it. This is the big change needed this offseason. His biggest flaw is that he tactically doesn’t know how to suck energy out of the opposition. He continually doesn’t know how to use our trump players when the opposition change tactically etc etc. It’s been horrendous to watch since he has coached us. Even some of our wins have been hard to watch over the years

I think it’s more likely Brisbane than GC.

They could bring in Allen and Curnow. Together with Morris and Raynor, that’s an incredible forward line.

I agree Brisbane could be a destination as they’re more in need of a decent key fwd. but you saying hippwood in return makes me want to throw up in my mouth. Yuk. No thanks.
