Definitely. It (unfortunately) says something for the 'geniuses' in our marketing department when a 14 year old can do a better job of showing how to embrace the past whilst not being shackled with it, then our 'Ssshh, don't mention the Magpies, I think I did once, but got away with it' guys at the club who (give the impression of trying to) avoid everything pre-1997 unless they are forced to.Food for though for our marketing people. I've heard that John Schumann song regularly at the footy but never really picked up on the words properly. I just assumed it was any old song that was being used.
That sort of thing is important for adding to the history and aura around the club.![]()
