In fairness he’s fourth in our goal kicking with only 13 games played.

I just think he’s not an overly mobile tall and our entry has been so poor/reliant on scrambling, it’s just not properly clicked for him.

Confused by the comments on J Will, has actually had a pretty good season at AFL level in a rubbish side.

Young Key Forwards are prone to down games, particularly in these conditions.

Banfield just looks comfortable playing against bigger bodies. no issues taking him Father/Son.
Gross has been awesome, straight swap for Harley.

Problem at this level is there is virtually no switching, if the ball isn’t on your wing you’re essentially guarding space until the next score.

JWil is absolutely worth persisting with, despite regularly going missing - still v young, AFL capable if not B22 (yet), KPP & reasonable in ruck, usually does something good each game & pops up for a goal.

Best case he comes on, worst case he's Mcinnis & good for 10yrs on the list as a break-glass if emergency KPP

My opinion only however where I believe Jack Williams plays best is as a backup ruck come forward Mini seems to prefer to play both Flynn and Bailey Williams in the ruck and has played Jack as a full forward (since Watermelon has been out injured) which I don’t believe is his bag - and I’m also led to believe last year he was told to add a bit of bulk to assist his ruck work however perhaps he’s stacked on a bit too much as he seems a bit cumbersome these days. In saying that Mini appears to overlook Jack a bit, favouring Archer Reid who at AFL level can’t seem to find the goals as keeps kicking points. So I would say since Mini came onboard Jack’s probably not sure what his role now is. Something obviously has gone amiss as he was coming on very nicely last year.

I give the club’s approach to the WAFL setup a lot of stick, rightly so, but Datson was a very good get.
