Carr will know his value, and limitations

They'll have spots for him, hopefully he gets a few years, gets game time and enough cash to set himself and his new born up

Not sure what he did to JLo but it doesn't pass the pub test
Not sure the pub test is ideal for determining selection for an elite sports team to be honest.

Pro: Anything for Broadie is a win

Con: Facebook nuffies blowing up every time he touches the ball for Port

Brodie is a very Hinkley-era Port player, up there with likes of Atkins and McEntee. Great fit!

From the Carlton rumour thread, take it with a grain of salt:

“Cripps also wants out. He’s looking to finish his career in WA and doesn’t seem fussed about which club takes him — though West Coast looks like the obvious frontrunner.

Given the source’s track record and recent form, I’m confident this Cripps part is legit. Expect it to go public in the coming weeks.”

Cripps always struck me as a WC flog

I will say I did notice Cripps doing a lot less shoving our young players face first into the ground, elbowing people off the ball, etc. today...............

Carlton fans will burn down Princes Park if they let Cripps waltz out.

Won't be happening

Can’t burn a place to the ground twice after Silvagni leaves.

If there's any truth to it, we should be considering Cripps. Have to consider Young's body is not up to the rigours of AFL.
That is just this year he will be right. Got off to a bad start and never got going. He had the fibula fracture and complications coming back.

I had one of those years last year. Three hamstrings and calf. Got onto a special strengthening exercise program for my hamstrings in particular over the pre-season and had zero problems this year. Up until the leg fracture in the last game of 2024 he hasn’t had many issues that I can think of.

Sorry if I've misunderstood but are you saying the fibula fracture has contributed to the hamstrings?

I can tell you with absolute certainty that your comments about your are just wrong and trust me i would know.

On cripps a big bodied expolsive midfielder like him is the missing piece. Either go for him and have a red hot crack for 26/27 or draft the tallest strongest mid and build for the future

For sure. The lack of conditioning in the leg and muscle mass loss will definitely have given him a higher chance to suffer hamstring damage. They are adjacent limbs (lower leg --> upper leg) they work hand in hand.

That's pretty fascinating, I hope you are both right and Young is able to overcome these injuries.

Don't think the Cripps rumours will amount to anything but we have Robinson coming through next year so our F1 may be easier to part with

Would anyone do this years first and F1 for him and some points back next year? Knowing we are only going to get 3 seasons out of him?

It's a lot to pay but you'd have to pay up to get a contracted captain

Highly doubtful the rumours are even true but interested to see what trade price people would pay.

He's 31 next year. Why on earth would we be throwing away two firsts for him?

If he played like he did today for us it would be a massive get for our midfield, but I can't see anyway we do it for a not insane price.

Would need to do a thorough medical. Looks like his body could give up very quickly. Would like him though.

To try and win a premiership

Next years first is likely eaten up by Robinson too

Blues wouldn't let him go for chips (Blues won't let him go anyway tho lol, this is just spitballing)

Robinson doesn't have the burst Cripps has.

1 pick in the teens would be my best offer
