Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

This narrative around Cripps is tiresome. Hasn’t had the support??! The guy burns teammates like it’s a hobby. It would help if he knew how to bring teammates into the game instead of trying to do everything himself.

Take Cripps out of the side for the past 5 yrs and we're nowhere near as successful as we were or even still are - and that's a low bar already. He's been the sole reason we've been competitive in midfield for the duration of his career.

It won't happen, but I'd absolutely give Lukey Power all the chance in the world at getting the senior coach gig.

It's undeniable what he's done for our kids, also undeniable he can coach a modern game style.

Not saying he should get the job, but I hope he's given a fair dinkum shot at it.

From where I sit you're both right

Cripps plays hero ball far more often than he has to and it burns his teammates with stunning regularity. Cripps often plays like it's still the early years of his career when we had next to no talent.

Love him. Legend of the club. We'd be nowhere without him over the last decade but it's not all black and white

I didn't say they disrespected the club ... but they both had pretty publicly asked for trades. Thornton only stayed at the club because we refused to trade him and we had pick 1 in the PSD. Walker wanted to be traded when Ratten was coach from memory - this was prior to him being moved forward.

When did JSOS disrespect the football club? So far it been Fly and the media that have done all the talking. Have I missed the part where Jack has spoken out about his dislike of the CFC?

The Thornton scenario is a bit before my time, but from memory I thought it was us shopping AW1 around?

I'd imagine a bunch of clubs have already been on the phone to see if they can shake him loose. A great mentor figure to have the in the back of the coaches box or on the bench.

He can count to six, and I’m not sure whether that is a statement or a question.

I'm not saying there is entitlement there. I'm just saying his name shouldn't make him feel entitled. I'm a Jack fan and want him to stay.

Look, probably not.

However, as we've seen with almost countless father son players throughout the competition this is enough to get you in the door but once you're there the rest is on you.

A ton of father/son players have been delisted pretty quickly. You don't keep a list spot if you're a spud. At least past the point Stephen left

And chances are they would have developed him better than what we did.
