Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

Board has voted and endorsed that neither Lloyd nor Voss will be at Blues in 2026. Skipworth has been spoken to already which has upset McCrae hence the public position re Silvagni.
Wonder if Fly would have let onto Vossy re: Skipworth approach (prob put up as assistant coach dept but stay close, you just never know…)?

yazz goes bang. He's the one who came out with pick swap with the Eagles last year.
Yep
And Royal Blues flagged Skipworth awhile back.
I think he said Horse and Skipworth iirc.
Had assumed Skipworth as assistant coach but who knows!

Probably because he realises that Skipworth is his tactical guy that runs the show…. And he’s more of a man manager.
That makes sense but Skipworth also interviewed at the Eagles when they were searching for a coach so you would assume the Pies know that clubs will ask the question of him.

It has been said that Skipworth's best assets are his tactics and modern game plans.

Posted this about him in the coach thread:

Hayden Skipworth:
  • Elite in systems, stoppages, & structure
  • Brings calm, clarity, and leadership maturity
  • Strong rapport with players
  • Harvard/Columbia-trained in leadership & performance psychology
tbh, these traits are exactly what we're looking for...

The lighter side of sackings:

The Head of Fitness was sacked as ‘he didn’t work out’

The Head of Staging at a local theatre was sacked early on and left ‘without making a scene’

The Head Clairvoyant at the markets was sacked early on but luckily ‘saw it coming’

🙃😉😊

The accountant didn't get fired, he just lost his balance.

The banker had to retire as he'd lost interest...

Voss will coach out his contract. Which may mean we lose Walsh, Cripps would stay. JSOS would not. Picks could potentially help upgrade the list through many areas. A lot of pieces can potentially move.

I'll preface this by saying that prior to R15 I was on board with Voss coaching out his contract.

However...

Voss coaching out his contract will cost us the rest of the list.

Anything less than an immediate second half of 2023-type turnaround and he would be as lame duck a coach as we've ever had.

The odds of that happening are astronomically low. There are too many kids and too much needs to go right.

Nup. He and Lloyd need to go, we need a new footy department and we need to move forward.

The baker was fired as the business wasn't making enough dough.

The actor was fired after he went through a stage.

Well, this will be the new guys set to run with
Pres: Priestley
CEO: GW
Coach: ???
FM/GM: ???
LM: Blue Eyes
HP: Inness

If I had my way ...

President: Mike Fitzpatrick
Football Director: Someone else
CEO: Graham Wright
Coach: Hayden Skipworth
Senior Assistant: Corey Enright
Football Manager: Jimmy Bartel
List Manager: Unsure. Changes must be made.
High Performance: Rob Innes

One would hope so, because his public demeanour and personality is a snooze fest

What's more important? Do you want a successful coach or a personality?
