I don't want to see Treloar anywhere near the Middle for the rest of the season. We have the mix for this go-around, place him around the wing if he's got that in him or off HB.The Treloar conundrum
I've gone on record several times saying it's too risky to play Treloar in a final. I'm not shying away from that but if we do decide to play him this week (or even the following week), perhaps you can limit the risk by:
1. Naming him as the sub
2. Playing him forward with only very minimal time in the midfield
This scenario could also potentially apply to next season if we extend his contract another year.
If he doesn't get named to play this week despite being cleared to play, it would suggest to me he isn't in our September plans which I don't mind. Garcia has shown he is more than capable and I'm not confident a 2025 Treloar is any better than Garcia. Harsh but IMO fair based on body of work and how limited Treloar currently is.
Can we please stop talking about Gardner… I had to go into therapy last time he played seniorsPerhaps to people who have been lobotomized so that they can forget\ignore their preceding AFL careers and only consider very recent VFL form.
Jones could retire, spend two years on the couch drinking and smoking and still be a mile ahead of Gardner.

He’d be in the 2’s if Harmes & Treloar were available.Am I the only one who thinks Sanders is in danger? I must admit I only saw the second half but thought he was woeful.
Past 2 weeks he has been down on disposal. The 7 weeks before that averaged 20 disposals nearly all effectiveHe’d be in the 2’s if Harmes & Treloar were available.
Ryley has done well this year to develop different areas to stay in the seniors but he’s having next to no impact on the game for the past few weeks.
Hence why I said there were few contenders, but imo Jones’s game was not any better than Cody’s or JUH’s. He just couldn’t defend anything, and it looks like he hasn’t improved since then unfortunately. Might be time to hang up the boots.JUH was the worst game I have ever seen from an individual footballer in the EF. He could not have given a fiver.
Charlie Clarke’s debut game a close second. At least Charlie tried.
Don’t put Liam Jones game anywhere near JUH. At least Jones had a crack.
Who is it?
Who is it?
No chance it is Croft 2 solid weeks isn't enough form to be pickedCroft in Poulters role would make sense. Taller, better mark, can also cover the ground.
Though would be pretty unexpected at this stage of the season.
Croft!
Never mind 2 weeks of solid football is enoughNo chance it is Croft 2 solid weeks isn't enough form to be picked
Will be Sellwood or Jacques who have been in the best players most of their VFL games
Croft would be surprising for me.
Shown promising signs the last 3 weeks but still needs some time in the 2s. Could see him getting games through the season next year.
Jaques for VDM could make sense but I think they would pick Davidson first.
Sellwood for Buss makes the most sense given we don’t need 3 tall backs against WCE.
3 of the last 4 weeks he has kicked 3 goals. 13+ Disposals in each game.Never mind 2 weeks of solid football is enough
Lachie Jacques more stiff IMO plays the HFF/Wing role and been very consistent this year in the 2sYep, that’s surprising to me.
But why not.
Sellwood harsh not to debut this season.
