From memory, didn't Mick Malthouse square up with Mick Conlan later in the game?
Not sure if it was the same game, but Malthouse did knock out Conlan, pretended he was trying to punch the ball and got Conlan’s head instead.
I think we ended up going down by a point or so.
It’s weird, but I can remember more about Richmond games/teams from the late 70’s, early 80’s, than I can 2017 to 2020.

I just found the vision last night of Wilson’s hit on Jess to be one of the most clinically perfect that I’ve ever seen - he was out instantly

I reckon that also might have been the game where Taylor kicked 10 very early in his career.

I'm exactly the same, I couldn't recall that much about most games over the last decade - some exceptions of course - but I can vividly recall moments and quarters of games from the late 1980s through to the mid 1990s pretty easily.

Part of it might be most games are the same now, tactics are all the same and scoring is lower. Less reliance on individuals too of course.

Love Lawrence. The more everyone melts the more I hope he’s on

I prefer him over Lehmo or Fitzey - see that’s the thing with comedy, some people , somewhere, apart from their parents, must find them funny. I groan when they are on, never laughed once at what they said. Where as Lawrence I do get some laughs from.

I'm the same - stronger memories of games from the 80's than more recent times.
As well as the game style, I think this would be fairly common - long term memories, especially from childhood (as is the case for me when talking 80's anyway) tend to be the strongest.
For example I am the same with Test cricket, which I love - I can recall results and details of Tests from the 80s far more vividly than games over the last twenty years.

I’ve heard it said that “memories are painted with a golden brush”.

It was good to have the A team back together for tonight's episode and Max Gawn was good value as the guest, just as I expected

You tend to remember things from childhood or teenage years even because you have fewer or zero responsibilities. Footy or sports becomes life as game days were approached with such excitement that it became the pinnacle. It was all encompassing. It dictated whether you had a good weekend or not.

As you age there are more important matters in life. These take away your focus

He's about as funny as being kicked in the plums.
I copped a tennis ball hard in the plums once and I definitely did not see the funny side, but I do chuckle sometimes at Moonman's jokes. The one about Bob Skilton saying JFK would only be out for 2 weeks was a pearler

heck me I hope the media picks up the way Brian Taylor spoke about Danny Frawley on this show. He boasted about and doubled down about making Frawley 'cry' when he kicked 7 goals on him. According to BT, he cried because he was 'such a competitor'.

News flash BT

Michael Walters was good. Seems like a genuinely good bloke.

As a Crows supporter who has no love for the Power (or Port Adelaide Magpies)...

What was that gigantic pile of shit that Mooney dumped tonight? It was in no way funny, just downright offensive.

He picked a hell of a week to be such a gigantic turd. :poo:
