Yeah agreed. I should have specified, my concern comes more from wanting bobby and the club to be happy with each other. He can miss games due to fitness/other issues, I think it would be worse if they suddenly weren't agreeing with each other on the decisions.

I have no doubt the selection comittee always make the best decision. It's their job after all!

surely they should be running selection decisions past the experts on here first, we have so many for them to choose from......

Yep not sure why people are assuming Bobby's definitely not playing when Fly said it will be discussed during the match committee. Same as last week with Frampton.

Didn't fly also say that they would know within the next half hour? Whether or not he managed the training loads etc.

Had to google him. So he was with Collingwood for 3 years then went back to Ireland to study medicine.
Very interesting as he's still only 25.

Signed on at the same time as Keane. Played 1 senior game back in 20-21 from memory.

In fairness the team also needs players who keep their width and provide speed in transition. Overall I’m with you on Bobby, but “team needs” is a pretty limp explanation. Also it’s just as easy to say he needs one more week on the track to give us the repeat efforts we love.

I’m not sure I agree. It’s a 6 day break from the VFL into the Dees match and I’m buying that he wants to be around the playing group. I’m taking him over to Adelaide and immersing him in that then building him up on Monday to play a full game v the Dees. We’ll find out shortly whether his season is over and I’m not bothering with the VFL.

Yes, I thought that was a strange/pointed comment, too. What club doesn't need a fast, dynamic, goal-scorer in their team every week of the the season? We certainly do!

Yeah he did actually right at the depths of our absolute lowest post Buckley and pre Fly. I suspect that night we ran out with about 15 guys that are no longer at the club.
