Modern theory that chasing is easier because you know what you need to do plays the biggest part plus the history over the last 3 years of having some decent chases in the World Cup, in England & in the Champions Trophy.

Honestly though think the coaches and players themselves like Head, Inglis, Carey and Marsh himself all want to chase a target as they think they are all better suited to chasing and being free in their thought process, so always want to do that… even when you get such obvious ‘bat first’ pitches like today.
