Last week's 23 is what we go with first final provided no injuries or suspensions this week I imagine.
Good change.
Henry doesn't deserve a recall.
I still want Jed around next year. Will be better depth than whatever 1st-2nd year player we have on the list developing in defence.
They're probably just thinking Bews is the next in line if we get any injuries in finals so getting him some gametime is better than playing a debutant who's no chance come finals, even though a couple of the young talls have had strong finishes in the VFL.So we replace a key forward with a nuggety half back, ****ing why?
Surely we could have given a like for like player a go here or is this a farewell game for Bews?
Not sure qualifying final prep is the time to do it.
If the list decision is between pick 80 & Bews, go with Bews on a 12 month contract even as insurance
We keep hearing that this years draft isn't seen as a strong one, so surely we don't look to take more than minimal picks and then we can reassess the list situation next year
Surely he is not next in line to replace Neale or Cameron though? They're probably just thinking Bews is the next in line if we get any injuries in finals so getting him some gametime is better than playing a debutant who's no chance come finals, even though a couple of the young talls have had strong finishes in the VFL.
Molier looks more like a forward to me than Edwards. Molier is 200+ cms.Agree, would be strongly leaning to Edwards in this scenario; like-for-like in terms of height, give him a small taste of AFL footy before he knuckles down for the 2026 pre-season.

Where has this season gone? Last round wtf
There is still a game to win.So we replace a key forward with a nuggety half back, ****ing why?

If any of our first year players showed any aptitude or improvement to suggest they'd be fine defensive depth for 2026 then fine. But I don't think that's the case. If we're serious he should be here in 2026.Unless you find another Lawson...?
I am glad OH didn't even get put as an emg considering how badly he dropped his game after 1 missed goal last weekTed back to the emergency list - no sign of Ollie H in the 26

AFL Team Selection | One Change for a Pivotal Saturday Afternoon Clash
Geelong has selected their team for Saturday's clash with Richmond at the MCGwww.geelongcats.com.au
I'd be more glad if we were all thinking gee's OH was stiff to be left out.I am glad OH didn't even get put as an emg considering how badly he dropped his game after 1 missed goal last week
That would be nice but require OH to perform to a level in which we think thatI'd be more glad if we were all thinking gee's OH was stiff to be left out.
Yeah he could probable start with a big summer on the weights and an injury free preseason he'll be 23 next season he has heaps of talent but yet to find his niche has time on his side if he can get some desperation into his game things will start to look up for him. That would be nice but require OH to perform to a level in which we think that
His old man would have played with the original Scratcher, so this is a bit of retro Cats' team in that respect. Sort of. Anyway it's a great selection IMO. If he plays finals he is getting a tune up. If he doesn't he gets a send off potentially.Bews in for Neale. Going to finally release Bews in his last Cats game as a KPF. About time.
