and your obsession with WC is not compensating for 31 years of failure
I am not really having this obsession with west coast eagles.

I only react when posters like you sink the boots into my club.

If it's the eagles vs a non Victorian club in a grand final this season just like Brisbane vs Sydney in last seasons grand final, I wouldn't care about the outcome.

Unless it's the dockers, as I want the dockers to win a flag obviously .

Sack that lazy piece of crap McGovern the worst post 2018 club cancer since NicNat

We always hear in WA the Eagles haven't even bottomed out yet, expect the worst in 2027, since McGovern is still there. Then sack him so you can get on with the whole bottoming out thing in 2025 and not waste another 2 years

Also I feel sad for McQualter but any coach should have known taking the WC job was a death sentence so it's his own fault, he had no hope from day 1

Don’t kid yourself. You purple people would’ve sold your grandma into slavery for a McGovern type player the last 10 years.

The first side in VFL/AFL history to lose 22 games in season
I really don’t get it. I know their premiership side got old and they paid overs for Kelly but I don’t know how a very successful club can become less competitive than an expansion club.

Can’t just blame McQualter - they were pretty much this bad for the last few seasons of Simpson.

Hard argument against priority picks

I’ve historically been very against throwing start of first round priority picks around but if they are still a thing, then surely West Coast gets one this year.

To you, Kepler Bradley is just a former Essendon player or another bare bum in the shower LoL

To us dockers fans on Bigfooty, Kepler Bradley is worshipped like a living legend lol
Jesus ..that’s sad you say that. Because..

Clive is the real immortal simpleton of FFC.

Both Kepler and Clive both worn the legendary number 26. So did another former cats "tall" forward in Shane Kersten
Kersten..such a shame.

He was struck down by the Black Plague wasn’t he?

Buried in a shallow grave in the Secret Harbour sand dunes I believe…

Shane Kersten did something no one had the balls to do, Stand up to Ross Lyon. LoL

Legend has it that Shane Kersten told Ross Lyon to f**k off. Ross Lyon was sacked shortly after lol

Unprecedented injury crisis. Multiple concussion retirements. Soft cap spending reductions. Over paid for Kelly. Which lined up with the classic "if every one is healthy next season we can compete for a flag" (which was true) idea - and happened to all occur during unprecedented covid situation.

A bunch of poor decisions, plus a bunch of really bad luck. Perfect storm.

End of 1st round picks is not going to help the eagles specially having to trade it for a run of the mill player that most likely will just be passing time after being on the fringe of another club.

5 extra Rookie spots and extra soft cap for development coaches is the best way

I’d add that the Eagles just need to start spending even with the tax. They can afford to speed up the process, spend the ****ing money. I don’t understand why they flex their money & size but are terrified of spending “tax” while being historically shit. They’ve made $2,5 million in profit in the past 2 years from what I can gather & that includes increasing their revenue WHILST being awful and having crowd drop offs (10,000 drop off from 2019 to 2024). They just need to accept their position as the best positioned club off field in the game & flex that muscle.

I’m not a fan of priority picks, and wasn’t for North ( we ****ing butchered them anyway) , but hard to argue the Eagles are less deserving than North. So by every other precedent, they deserve draft & list size help.

They are trimming all their senior experience then whining when their other senior players get injured.

Letting Allan and Ryan walk this year after the career ending injuries to Sheed and McGovern, as well as the unknown with Yeo, is absolute madness.

Couple that with them offloading Barrass and Darling last year.

There’s a real risk some of their younger talent will develop properly without the right senior group around them.

A large proportion of their flag squad essentially got long term injured to the point of never getting back to their absolute best.

Shuey, Sheed, Naitanui, Yeo obvious ones who just couldn’t/can’t stay on the park for multiple years in a row.

Sheppard retired early due to concussion.

McGovern missed over a month in 5 of the last 6 seasons, approx 60 games missed since start of 2020.

Barrass had limiting back issues. Probably not helped by travel. Not on the scale of injury as the others but certainly never at his best.

Rioli missed whole seasons before leaving.

6 flag players, 8 best 22 squad members who just never really got there again

Others will be able to speak more informed than me on this but I believe the WA footy commission has a say in how money is spent so it isn't as simple as "rich club, spend money"
