Alright kids, the day is here. Who retires at the end, two-time Brownlow Medallist Nat Fyfe or some rescue doge from Lort Smith?

I'm about to get ready to make the trip in. This one's gonna be emotional. Be kind to yourselves, each other and especially ubiquitous226

Need some advice.

I am a Melbourne based supporter.

Tossing up whether to go to the game. Tix are still available, but… deep down… I think we are going to get absolutely humiliated.

Should I still go?
You never know.

Could see something really special.

I think it's 50/50 we see a coming of age victory. If I was in Vic, let alone Melbourne, I wouldn't miss that for the world.

This is an elimination final in every way except name.
We had a dress rehersal for this game last week and we completely fluffed our lines.
I genuinely believe our failure last week was on the players, but with a week to review that game as a group, it's now on the coaches to have for them up for this game. If Justin and his crew can't get a different intensity from the group for this game, I think I'll join Swanny in saying that JL just isn't good enough. Two years of falling out of the finals has to mean something.
That said, we have played great football for 3 months and I'm fully of the belief that last week was an anomaly and we can absolutely get up for this game.
It's all about the midfield for mine. We get pantsed in centre clearance we're done. No back man can stop fast football to a leading 200cm forward who has great smalls (West) at his feet.
Can't allow Bont and Richards easy access to the ball.
This is a final, pressure needs to be at 11 for the whole game.
We can't have lapses and give up 3 goals in 3 minutes somewhere, that will be the game.
Huge game for our midfield unit.
Players need to convert chances and pressure the ball use out of our forward half. That's you Freddie if youre reading. Fast ball speed by them through the centre will kill us.
We can do this.

Just go Sturty, reckon we have a win for the ages here mate, you being there with the rest of the East coast cheer squad will get us over the line.
If we lose, well at least you stood up, and showed you are a good kaarnt.

Let’s F…kn Go !!!

I felt that way before the 2012 EF against Geelong at the G.

If for no other reason, just go there and make some noise so the boys know we are all behind them.

I'm glad you asked this and I'm really grateful for people's encouraging replies too. I've been feeling much the same, although my fears of humiliation are much less football related.

You've reminded me that I promised myself I would just enjoy the rollercoaster of this season. There have been some lows, absolutely, but there have been some insane highs too. This could be fyfes last ever game, someone who has never wavered in effort, whether his body likes it or not.

At the very least - I'm gonna go and show him the same respect. Let's go make the freo chant ring around marvel ⚓💜

I hope we lose and that imposter JLO gets the sack immediately.

This club is going backwards since it's become a club for the boys.

If we don't win a premiership this year it will be a failed year.

I agree with the last bit.

This feels like a game where I should go hiking in an area with no phone reception until the game is over, then only after checking the final score decide whether to watch it.

Get motivated get Confidence get the win for the freo fam. None of this nervous energy bs errors. No chip chip out of defense back half

I almost have it. I’m going to go stand in the pissing rain in the Swan Valley to watch my son most likely get belted by a team of 16 year olds, half of which look like they’ll play WAFL at least…pray for me…
