I get what you are saying, but umpires are directed to not pay insufficient intent when it is an obvious skill error. I can see why the umpire paid it based on the direction of the ball, but given it was a skill error it was the wrong one.

The problem is they do pay it a fair bit for skill errors mostly coming out of backline

Zorko is probably the shittest bloke in the game. The fact that he acted like he was shot doesn't make him worthy of sympathy, even if you think game 300 deserves some kind of special treatment.
