J would think making the best 22 under 22 side might be a starting point.. but the judges clearly don’t agree with you.
Yeah or being drafted by a vic club so vic commentators could froth over him.

We watched Hough torch everyone from Toby green down and not even get a look in ….

Ginbey is going to be an aa stud. You heard it here first.

I think the AFL will be considering giving the Eagles what the Roos got for their assistance. One end of first rounder this year and two end of first rounders next year. With the two next year contingent on how the club performs. So that creates the incentive to trade them out to get some more experience for next season.

Two extra rookie like spots as the Roos got as well would help with upcoming NGA selections added to the list.

Ultimately the rebuild process now only really accelerates when the clubs become an attractive destination for free agents and trades. Probably still a couple of years away from that.

Didn't North immediately trade the contingent picks, thus immediately invalidating the contingent part of it?
I hope the AFL learn from that but we'll see.

They will just gamble whatever they’re given to get Rory Lobb

Hard to see where the improvment comes from anytime in the next 3-4 years given they have a real lack of talent under 25

Reid the only one who shows star potential and may or may not be on the move outside of that Ginbey/Edwards/Maric/McCathy/Dewar/Shanahan show signs of being solid enough footballers but are being forced to be better then they are
It seems dire at the eagles at the moment.

Quickest way in their situation is to draft lots of local teenagers and develop them.

Not too many experienced AFL players will want to go to a side that posted a 1 win season

This complete and utter garbage again

Just because he wasn't picked by a bunch of randos, for a side that's voted on by Facebook clowns, doesn't mean he won't be elite.

How would we have turbocharged it exactly? McKercher(lol) and some spuds in the late teens?

You think the midfield would look better with those picks and without Harley?

🤣

Had the opportunity to grab a handful of draftees, develop them together at the same time. It was a deep draft too. Was always the right choice for a club rebuilding that needed to plug many holes.

If you didn't get Harley Reid at pick 1.....

Say if demons handed you picks 6, 11 , 42 and that 2026 future 1st, eagles would of got 4 solid players for pick 1.

Crows used their 1st rounder on Daniel Curtin. Would he be in the eagles best 23?

Why should the AFL step in? They are the richest club in the league who won a premiership recently and get high draft picks every year and scammed pick 2 for Oscar Allen.
