I see your point but they scale scores meaning there's only so many points allocated each game. They have rediculous systems in place that if there's significant points left a score after the siren can net a huge score for **** all for the rest of the game. Pretty sure Nic Nat had a huge score from just one goal.

Bont missed the first 5 games, and had 24 disposals or less in 9 of his 17 games.

I love him more than most, but that is a joke

lol this is some seriously braindead stat watching.

Against GWS, he had the most coaches votes. Against Port, he had 3 goals and featured in the votes again. And in the votes against Brisbane too. So 3 of those 9 he still was in the coaches votes, which shows disposal count is meaningless.

Bont finished 7th in the AFLCA, 14 votes behind the winner, despite missing 5 games. Play the full season out and he almost certainly wins it. His selection is easily justified

not sure you align with the Coaches though. Battle got 33 Coaches votes over the season and Keane 11. Not sure about Worrell.

The errors for me are no Worrall, no Elliot, and Dawson not captain. But who cares really.

In isolation, I don't - but it just reinforces how amateur hour some of the stuff in this league is. Why have a prestigious 'all australian team' and then name Cameron as captain 'for the lol's.... like what.

Yeah I guess
Jezza, Georgiades, Fogarty, Ryan, Zurhaar, Amiss, Curnow, Fritsch etc are all horrible forwards and 4th-5th string

Like I’ve said, not overly fussed, we know how good a year he’s had, better than the last 2 years I reckon.

Played his best football against the best teams as well, 6 of his best 7 games were against top 8 Gold Coast, Adelaide x2, Hawthorn, GWS and Brisbane.
