I'm usually one for hitting the draft, but with $2mill+ of cap space and a thin draft, this really does feel like a year to be aggressive in the trade period.

Smart aggressive, not just for the sake of it and we do have a lot of talent in the club already that will eat into the cap space quickly

I think Butts is less naturally talented than those 4 guys but a better fit.

Happily trade our 1st this year for a defender (not necessarily Ridley). With all the academy and free agency picks it’s going to be pushed to late teens in a shallow draft.

What’s the better option?

$800k & no draft capital for JSOS or $800k and lose out first rounder for Ridley. It’s a pretty clear option for me.

That’s one thing I wouldn’t do as it takes away an essential asset for a potential Butters trade.
