110% agree, was as useless at the AFL as he was damaging at Qantas.
Will be remembered as a waste of space. Successor must NOT BE a person he annoints, nor should they be from one of the big Vic clubs as that is an ongoing problem with the AFL

I wanted to buy some Woodside shares a while back when they were valued at just over $19 but decided I wouldn't whilst Goyder remains on the board.

Just went you thought Goyder couldn't do any more damage and be any more selfish, he has gotten vindictive on his way out and railroaded Jeff Browne from getting the top job, despite him being the overwhelming preference of most clubs.
Browne has been a lawyer, worked for the afl, head of channel 9 in Sydney, chairs m.a financial and was a successful president, he also makes tough decisions and has charisma, unlike Goyder. Yes he's from Collingwood, but the main thing I liked is that he has lived a number of years in both Sydney and Perth, which are the two areas the AFL are under performing in at the moment, as well as media coverage.
But anyway it looks like Richard has done him over last minute, by getting his mate Peter Gordon (yes he's still alive) into the gig.

Yeah, well, any article that tries to use the words “woke ideology” to promote their own agenda, needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Why do you like Gordon? Just another Melbourne lawyer with no experience outside of it. A terrible fit after the disaster of Dillon and Kane.
