Our compo picks will be #10 (TDK) + #21 (Jack) ...
No way WCE are going to give us #2 for that...
Unlikely with his brother to go to GCFC this year through their Academy (#1 material).Uwland
Doubt WCE agree to that especially after the flack they copped last time from their supporters. Our compo picks will be #10 (TDK) + #21 (Jack) ...

I mean they could have had our 1st rounder this year had they chosen that vs HFC’s 1st rounder instead.Doubt WCE agree to that especially after the flack they copped last time from their supporters.
Unless it’s a such a weak/even draft and WCE can get the players they want with later picks. But if that’s the case why wouldn’t we do the same.
His offer was more than fair for someone who struggles to play for 12 games a yearI was worried about JSOS playing in defence due to his lack of pace, but his reading of the play more than made up for that as he was just so good at cutting off the oppostion kicks by chipping in and taking a strong grab in front of the pack.I agree that Jacks' loss is more severe, especially as it seemed like he had finally found his niche in the backline after being used as a "spare parts" player by all the coaches he played under. Being last picked, first dropped led to him walking it seems and that`s the irony in all this, as we will now have to find another backman to take his place.![]()
There was just as much angst in our side to suggest it was a reasonably fair exchangeDoubt WCE agree to that especially after the flack they copped last time from their supporters

Would have been preferential IMO, handing it over to WCE vs HFC benefiting from our spiral.
I mean last years top 6 was extraordinaryThe only negative is that scribes think Duursma would slot into Pick 7 in last year's draft. Doesn't mean he won't be elite though.
What if West Coast take him at #1 though? We take the ruck forward or make the next 5 bids until we get a free player.
I don’t disagree with a trade but I’m not sure the value to WCE- they already have 1,13,19 so they would end up with more picks in a weak draftI've seen a couple of posts displeased with the notion of Carlton trading our two compo picks for West Coast's Pick 2 again.
We will lose the TDK compo pick anyway due to a bid on Harry Dean coming early. Isn't it a no brainer to get ahead of it and use the pick? We can use it in the draft, but also use it to trade for an established player.
The only issue is we will need more points for Dean so other player trades will need to happen.
Fiorini is the most Essendon player I've ever seen in my life, exactly their type: injury prone, ball-winning mid that provides 0 impact offensively or defensively.Fiorini is the exact opposite of our plan to trade for players that can kick and don't miss half the season through injury.
will be so angry if Jesse ends up at EssMotlop? Or did we burn them with Owies?
We need to get a top 5 future pick so we can get Cody next year.We can get Dean and Ison using other methods. Got 2 years of future picks to move if needed.
Back West (WA), not western suburbs.will be so angry if Jesse ends up at Ess
Hi Charlie, I'm your guide here to show you around the Saint Kilda clubrooms. Now over here we have the Dwarf tossing practice room, we don't use fire now because of what happened years ago. Over here we have the current St Kilda school girl; she is 18 because of the trouble we got in with the original one. We don't have Zac Dawson around any more to hold the condom for you in your nude picks. But we have any number of third tier players who'd be happy to hold it for you, just so they get some publicity in the future when we leak the pics through Montoya.Interesting they all have the same manager. Maybe we’ll see Curnow also get to StKilda, now that would be a lifestyle change for Charlie…![]()
Knowing SOS, he'd probably bid on Ison next just to eat up the JSOS compensation pick as well.Yeah, the plan for Dean is the Silvagni compo pick... unless a certain Silvagni bids on Dean first, then its our TDK pick that get eaten up...
Not quite, He moved to the Gold Coast when he was 8 and only played the game for the first time once he moved across. Had never played any level of organised football in WA.Maybe GC are worried that Walter will want to play for his childhood/family club in West Coast some day?
He only moved to GC from WA as a 12 year old. He idolised NicNat and Josh Kennedy growing up.
I would be all for putting Riley Flynn on the rookie list if we can swing it. Skull is going to be the second ruck for a couple more years, and it lets us develop Riley properly.Yeh like I noted if we are going to take Lindsay or Duursma maybe then I get it. Would be hesitant on using an early pick like that on a ruck.
Good chance we are finishing bottom half of the ladder next year.We need to get a top 5 future pick so we can get Cody next year.
Fiorini is a free agent, if want him, just sign him.
Then add someone else to the trade, i really like Powell for GC, good player.
If a club were to come for Smith, what would your trade value be for him? Whatever you answered will be what GC would want of Walter.
Walter and pick 6 would be crazy for GC to offer us

Motlop? Or did we burn them with Owies?
Welcome to St Kilda Ison. Silvagni can explain to the board why he drafted a kid projected in the 20s as a top 10 pick.Knowing SOS, he'd probably bid on Ison next just to eat up the JSOS compensation pick as well.
