Losing Marshall probably helps them pay to keep Wilkie. Marshall is good, but more expendable to them than Wilkie considering they are getting TDK (who isn’t as good as Marshall though)

Perhaps he was wavering trying to make up his mind, so we upped the offer.

He has no chance of winning a premiership at the Saints, whereas the dogs have played in two GF during his career and considering the ridiculous money Saints are paying inferior players, it must feel like a slap in the face.

I’d have kept Marshall but that’s just me

Just how good is Jordan Butts anyway? Is he substantially or marginally better than what we already have? His career stats, albeit taking into consideration he's had a couple of injury interrupted seasons, look quite modest. Perhaps someone who has seen him play more often can elaborate on his abilities.
