To my knowledge we weren't even seriously linked to Erasmus
JOS. Remains the only player we let "escape". But I've never been a big fan anyway.

Erasmus was locked to come to us but changed his mind pre bye to stay with Fremantle because he was getting games

Here are a few pretty solid front foot plays.

According to reports today, we all but had Erasmus over the line until he got cold feet at the last minute.

We had an interest in Silvangni that had us as frontrunners until he allegedly failed a fitness test.

We have offered all of the money to Wilkie to walk away from his contract and destiny to be St.Kildas next captain.

Trade week(s) doesn't start for nearly a month.

However, he's exactly the kind of player I expect us to bring in. Because we tend to bring in a fringe player from elsewhere every season. Kennedy and Duryea are probably the best of them. Followed by Bramble and then the likes of Harmes. Its a constant of the Beveridge and Power list management years.

We should have managed him better and selected him in the senior team when he was fit.
I'm convinced had we have done so then we'd still be in this final series and up to our necks in the premiership race.

The constant discussion about the team needing a big bodied contested marking defender was doing my head in, as the obvious answer to our problems was right under our nose. All we needed to do was pick him!

Meh on Erasmus, he wasn't a need. Silvagni got a bit risky and we bailed. Then we have gone hail Mary on Wilkie.

Now reports are we will wait till Butts season is over before we offer a contract.

Meanwhile if the Hawks wanted Butts they would of already had him locked away.
