Wilkie won't move. Tylar Young looks set for West Coast, North a slight chance. Adelaide may not budge for Butts and we may not attract him if North make a monster offer.

The MSD hoovers up most state league KPD talent so the only bloke left really is Ryan Eyars from Werribee, whose hamstrings may not hold up to an AFL environment (but we'd have to give him a crack).

Otherwise we just have to vomit in our mouth a little and pick up someone like Sam Frost

Saints are overpaying B grade players just for the sake of bringing in people to the club, we are not in a position where we need to do that.

Butters was never leaving this period. Wilkie was always a long shot.
To my knowledge we weren't even seriously linked to Erasmus
JOS. Remains the only player we let "escape". But I've never been a big fan anyway.

Because I have an incredible but useless ability to see the future when it comes too list management. Unfortunately that ability has no real world use like picking the Lotto numbers. Oh, well.

I fully expect us to do what we always do.

• Bring in a Kennedy, Harmes, Bramble, Duryea type of mid tier role filler from another side.
• That might be Butts or it could be anybody. Whoever it is expect to be underwhelmed.
• Upgrade a number of fringe players onto the main list.
• What I dont expect to happen is for our attempt to dynamite Wilkie out of St.Kilda to work.
• Finally. There is always the Footscray option to get us all excited.

True, but we do have holes on our list and we are not going to fill most of them in the draft.
