Until he goes walkabouts again and costs us another final like the Hawks game. The true CHB solution!
Will have a turnaround in fan sentiment bigger than Lobb mid 2024

Someone may come late but it'd have to be a desperate club missing Curnow or similar. Doubt we get a pick with points attached even if we cover some of his salary.I still think we will try offload him. Somehow. Just dunno how specifically.
It wasnt what he did on the day, its obviously something outside the field that upset a number of his team mates - we were flying into that final and stank it up massively. There was 12 shit players on that day
Not sure how Marra made Bailey Dale and Bailey Williams fumble the footy in Hawks forward 50
Why english got towered in the ruck
Why do many other players missed goals
But k cool
There happens to be a framed Geelong jumper front and centre in that photo, is that a cryptic message from Jamarra?

That was my first thought. There are other things on the wall but that is front and centre. There happens to be a framed Geelong jumper front and centre in that photo, is that a cryptic message from Jamarra?
There's a Port and a Swans jumper in that photo too. There happens to be a framed Geelong jumper front and centre in that photo, is that a cryptic message from Jamarra?
I get it Mofra, I was being ironic/sarcastic, maybe you are too. There's a Port and a Swans jumper in that photo too.
I’ve got more chance of pulling on the boots and playing for the dogs then Marra does ever againThe news will come over the coming weeks. You’re kidding yourself if you think there will be silence and he’ll just rock up day one of pre season.
Can you play key back?I’ve got more chance of pulling on the boots and playing for the dogs then Marra does ever again
Unfortunately not mateCan you play key back?

I fully expect that to be the case. Other than ripping up the contract, he will likely be on the Dogs list next year. No one will trade for him, and if he is picked up, it'll be for lunch money and a couch to sleep on.No one has expressed interest and he will be at dogs player at this stage
Imagine if we had 800 - 900k of KPD this year........A “gap year” is common amongst the youngies nowadays… Let’s just call it Marra’s gap year?.. As for the 8-900k, it’s not out of my pocket so I couldn’t care less!
The “biggie” for me is whether or not the rest of the team will tolerate him back?… Easy to say “we fully support him” etc etc, but if him returning is going to create the slightest disharmony, then forget it!
Last thing we need is team division over him…
aren’t we at the point of tearing up the contract?I fully expect that to be the case. Other than ripping up the contract, he will likely be on the Dogs list next year. No one will trade for him, and if he is picked up, it'll be for lunch money and a couch to sleep on.
You mean like Weitering who is universally accepted as one of the best key defenders currently playing. He is not fast or agile enough or with intercept ability to be a modern-day key defender.
We're surely not comparing Lachie Smith who has basically only ever played ruck his entire life, to Jacob Weitering, surely. You mean like Weitering who is universally accepted as one of the best key defenders currently playing.
If we don't pick up a mature KPD, then I'm m on board with at least seeing if Smith has potential there.
I was replying to the comment that you have to be fast and agile to play key defence - Weitering is a good example that it isnt the case. We're surely not comparing Lachie Smith who has basically only ever played ruck his entire life, to Jacob Weitering, surely.
That's because Carltons system protect him and doesn't push everyone up the ground. Wouldn't be fair to expect the same output from Weitering if he was playing for us. He will be no quicker than Jones and Lobb chasing people from the overhead ball.I was replying to the comment that you have to be fast and agile to play key defence - Weitering is a good example that it isnt the case.
I think so, but I would imagine that isn't a guarantee as we may have to pay out the full amount. If we do, I wonder if it's just better to keep him and roll that dice.aren’t we at the point of tearing up the contract?
