By fair i mean give a few games in a row, I know the last time he played had a poor game that was in tassie, pissing down and 90 knots of wind.

He had a fair crack at it when Nash was suspended and he didn't take it with both hands.

Thats what managers are for, the seasons over, Scotts, Mitchell’s and Zac’s has caused this mess (pre trade period) by leaking it to the press. - geez none of the above would surely trust him again.

Brad maybe not, but it would be an agreed plan between Zach and his manager. I cant imagine managers unilaterally ruining relationships at clubs.

For those thinking its Mitchell, we are equally into Petracca but no noise at all.

His selection was fair, but from memory he was subbed off early in all those games and then dropped. I don't think he was given a decent crack at it.
If he was taken with a top 10 pick and had the form hes had at vfl he would off been given a lot more oppotunity in the side, IMO

I just think he has a bit to offer us, I would hate to see him get traded and blossom at another club because he got opportunities. I just don’t think we haven’t given him enough chances/opportunities to see if he can make it at the level.

Unlike McKenzie he plays in a position where we have plenty of depth so I’d rather lose him than an up and coming high draft pick mid, if we had no other choice!

Only way the second scenario happens is if they get two picks in the top ten ( blows out to 12 and 13) otherwise just keep him.
These players want everything, signs a long term contract uses St.Kilda to get more money then just wants to walk.

If Merrett doesn’t attend the B&F I don’t see how they can’t trade him.

I reckon Merrett has asked for a trade before and they refused and know his gone full blown nuke!

If Sis didn’t attend the B&F after that letter, you would understand why he was traded.

I get why Merrett wants out… Merrett has fore-filled his part of the plan - contract. Yet the bombers at still bad and still rebuilding! Technically there in Breach of the plan.

In the mean time the Hawks won a 3Peat, hit rock bottom and returned to finals again, any bombers still at the bottom.

Merrett has performed, the bombers on and off the field have not performed.

Pick 8 + 2026 first + 2027 first

I would somewhat be ok with that. Tassie or not, we'd be holding extra first round picks. A death ride would be fun too.




in all seriousness, a third party will need to get involved. I think pick 8 + a 2026 first + a best 22 would be sufficient. Even if said player was around the 16 - 22 on the list
