Yeah I've no idea. I would safely assume the Hawks in general have more supporters than us, but once upon a time we were down with Stkilda in terms of support and members. We aren't Collingwood or West coast but we are at the heels of the bigger clubs.

There was 86,000 at the G for Brisbane Geelong last week, and it was majority Geelong.

I know the Friday night time isn't perfect for Geelong but we can even the numbers.

It would be good if they gave home team club members first dibs. Say a 70/30 split. Monday morning, Geelong members get access to 70%. Monday arvo Hawthorn get their 30% plus whatever left from Geelongs 70%.

On a side note, can Paul Chapman do the pre game speech?

My wariness on Hawthorn simply pertains to their current team. I agree that ancient history in finals means zilch.

If you tracked each team's most recent 40 games or so, not much separates them. They have had a tougher draw this year and they tend to take the foot off the gas against poorer teams, that's all. They'll bring a higher standard than Brisbane did last week but our best is better than theirs.
Does the travel / week-off factor in for you at all?

There is talk that Jezza has injured his calf at training and will not play. Any truth to this?

Doesn't look like anyone has told Jezza as he would seem to be busy getting his tux ready for the Brownlow

Good question.

I'm leaning towards it being a non-factor. Neither of Hawthorn's finals seemed especially bruising and the pre finals bye means sides can get through a few weeks on the spin - including travels - more easily. But I suppose we are better off getting them off a few road trips as opposed to a big run at the G like Richmond 2019.

What do you think?

I have never been this confident going into a Prelim since 2009. After the "RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, RIGHT IN FRONT OF MEEEEEE" debacle, the whole state of South Australia (minus 🍐 supporters) were behind us to do a number on Collingwood.

As a long-time Adelaidian resider, the years between 2007 and prior to us nabbing Danger, the Croms loved us. I have a feeling, after their straight sets exit, they will quietly back us to beat Hawthown and Collingwood.

So, back to 2009. I told everyone we'd beat Collingwood by 69 points. I got laughed at, told I was a cocky 🤡. From memory, not consulting Mr. Google, I think we won by 73 points. Just, simply romped them.

Well, the Adelaide Croms were disgustingly insipid. Putrid. They played like a 15th placed side. Hawthorn was only impressive because of how poor Adelaide was. There's no way in any universe, our boys play like that.

I expect Jack Henry to take on Gunston. Jack campaignerston is a very good footballer, but Keane, as good as he has been this year, reverted back to Irish factory mode. He was all at sea. He was given a bath. A bath Hawthorn just got out and drank from.

Anything less than a an 11-goal win will be a loss. But, I'll take a one-point win, there's no percentage to gain. But, no, seriously... I am not one ounce nervous, I'm negative nervous... a win is fait accompli. The only question is, "by how much?"

Don't forget that their last 3 matches have all been on the road - Brisbane, Western Sydney and then Adelaide

I'm sure they'll appreciate the chance to play in Melbourne this coming week

Do.we have footage of him walking as proof of life with no limp?

Is Jezza one that already walks with a different gate?

We've seen a few guys that even when they aren't injured they still walk like there's an issue

Harry Taylor in the last few years of his career
I've seen it with Edwards in VFL games this season where I was trying to work out if he was injured or just walked differently
