Thats a fair assessment really, but it wouldn't have hurtAfter watching the first two games, I am not convinced having Rankine would have changed the results. We were never in it, we never matched the intensity or pressure. Our skills were shit all over the park and the coaching and game plan was so sub par. His loss didnt help but we had lost both games before the game started.
Not just missing izak but all the bullshit media pile on that followed killed our focus and we looked spooked no end from that point. Even having to have multiple people commenting on the booing of last week (and then having that critiqued ad nauseam) was just more distraction and forced repeantant defensive whackamole. Its been a shit show from the moment it was eluded to on the Sunday night after the original pies game.
and her place of work
Dead set stitch upTalking to a Collingwood supporting work colleague just today - I said I don't think Rankine would have made much difference in either final but he said the whole thing was a complete deflater on finishing top - felt sorry for us and reckons it was a stitch up
Need to be more resilient though and need a top line mid - (Noah Anderson would be nice about now, eh?)
Don’t they count Ala DangerfieldYeah he can still play practice matches
Carn mate .. seriouslyThis has to be the weirdest argument ive ever seen on here. Thats saying something, I hang in the political threads most of the time.
Carn mate .. seriously
That clown has an account from 2004 with only a few posts
Probably a ford cortina burner
All good .. that old account of the ford cortina got yeetedtbh i didnt look.
I dont think it derailed us at all, we just simply didnt have the extra gear our opponents did..... or the coaching nous. The fact the Rankine suspension and subsequent "villains of the league" narrative derailed the playing group says more about how mentally weak we are than the on-field impact of Rankine.

Not really0 - 4 with both teams (SANFL and AFL) going out in straight sets isn’t a great look.
It does ask the question about the right preparation during that period
Not really
The SANFL side played well against Glenelg and gone boned towards the end, didnt play well last week granted.
Squad goes down with flu, you'd imagine it affected some of the SANFL players as well.
To me it goes further back than the Rankine stuff. We cooked our players by not rotating and managing more players.
I mean you might not be wrong either, it might even be a mixture of bothFair enough and happy with that explanation.

I dont think the fallout will be that bad, they'll get over it quickly enoughI hope I’m wrong, but I’m getting camp vibes from it that the players are pissed off about it.
Could be absolutely nothing and they just sucked in the finals.
Yeah they do get over it. I’m certain supporters stay pissed off for longer. Just a bad couple of weeks at the office for them.I dont think the fallout will be that bad, they'll get over it quickly enough
