I'd love Wilmot in our defence. I guess we are hoping Cowan will develop into a slightly taller Wilmot type. Tough, uncompromising defender with some attacking flair.

No chance. We are not trading him and are not working to manufacture an outcome.
His management are pressing for a trade with clubs he prefers.
Good luck to them because they are messing with a very single-minded CEO.
Some other year maybe, but losing TDK and JSOS as free agents there’s no way GW in his first year at the helm would give up Curnow for just draft picks. He’d lose credibility and it would be a poor outcome for the club.
We would expect high quality players eg. Gulden types in the exchange, the onus is on the Swans, Cats or whoever to come up with the goods if they’re serious.
If they can’t then Charlie stays and the club will get more from making a stand. The other clubs can always try again next year when he has 3 years to go on his contract.

He was a fantastic pickup, surprised att he was available, tough as nails…I watched the replay of the 1995 QF the other day. And had to replay Dean Rice’s hit on Chris Scott a few times, it looked like Rice barely touched Scott and somehow still knocked him into next week.

I didn't think Hamill was too bad considering our defense has had to make several adjustments over the last 2 seasons and still not a stable back 6.
Considering the crap Voss has had to deal with RE strategy, tactics and gameplan, I'm not sure what exactly Ash Hansen has done to earn his much touted rep. He is either being ignored by Voss, or else he is equally responsible for our putrid performances.
