  • King likely to have discussed Flanders, Rosas Jnr, Windhager and Mihocek with the list team
  • Dees have made a 3 year offer to Mihocek, potentially a 2+1 trigger.
  • 3 year deal offered to Heath as well
  • Heath played juniors with Windhager, but Windhanger more likely to stay
  • Woey won't know his status til post trade period
  • Henderson will be on the list next year

Any Joe Daniher news??

You know I reckon that could have been the straw that broke the camels back and got him fired. 😅

Only reason we are prob into Checkers is because we have sweet **** all chance nabbing any other tall forwards and would rather play a geriatric than give Jefferson and Johnson a regular run in the 1sts.

Jefferson is a bust. Would be a miracle if King can turn him round.

Johnson will never be anything more than depth.

I left Kentfield out of that. I am bullish on him but also believe modern game needs 3 key talls minimum. With rotations you will almost always have one on the bench anyway, or in the ruck, or out injured. Modern list needs a solid 3-4 proper quality key tall forwards.

We have none, maybe next year we will rely on JvR, Kentfield, Heath and Checkers as those, while we try find one to bring in end of 26.

An yet if Geelong drafted him he'd probably a roaming key forward who came up to contests and was effective.

Melbourne- Add 0 size to the bloke and chuck him in the goalsquare

Geelong would have taken one look at his iphone neck and passed on him on the spot.

I know you are basically taking the piss.

But do you think used differently he might have an AFL level role (here or anywhere)?

Haha maybe but my point is his ground level game looked decent and anyone taken top 30 in a draft clearly has some level of ability. There's just never been a clear plan to develop what he's good at and instead we've just been poking him with a stick saying c'mon be a key forward already

To be fair Goodwin probably instructed him to run down to d50 to help defend gassing him out 2 minutes into the match.

Maybe, maybe he's just crap. Like I said with the cats they find ways to maximize what a players good at. We've basically tried him as a goalsquare key forward and they given up

Jack Watts type thing?

I know highlights don't tell the whole story but I couldn't see why he was rated so highly that year. Granted it was a shallow draft but there was really nothing special that stood out for mine.

Pretty much yeah, an maybe he's even worse at that but we looked at footy so black and white for a while. Fritsch is dangerous closer to goals but it was almost like he wasn't key forwardy enough for us to do it

Maybe with luck this changes. It’s felt for a long time that Goody had an imaginary game playing in his head that he slotted players into with no success.

No idea about the new guy but I hope he can build a game, year to year, with reference to players at our disposal and how they are best used.

I’m actually looking forward to next season

He could reach the top of lockers after the boys threw Boweys shoes on top for being a ranger

Have you watched any of the finals?
