That's the role I see Trac playing but Humphrey is going to be elite.

Still, I wonder if we could pry him out.

Humphrey and FF plus a little something this year? Still dreaming, likely.
Any way possible to bring in humphrey, just get it done!

Surely Gold coast would be okay with letting Humphrey go if they bring in Trac, Curnow, and Elliot from the pies

What's the club's thought process behind losing TDK, SOS, Curnow(?) and only bringing in depth?

We don't have to make all our moves in one year, especially if we don't think we will contend for the flag next year.
I would assume we will use this to flatten out the salary cap, assess the coach and list next season and if we are ready make a big play at Butters or another big fish next year.

We need Walter as the starting point. We cannot rely on McKay as the only tall forward we have. If he gets injured or having issues like he did this year. Or we need him in the ruck.

No if buts or maybes, if GC want him they pay up. Charlie is elite and will do a lot for their city.

Walter, another good player and picks. Is the minimum standard.

If not then he doesnt get traded.

Geez i hope we play tough with this one. Please make me proud Carlton. We have to be ruthless.

Had no real say in the first two given what they have been offered money wise (and who knows what other issues JSOS has spinning around in his head) and the third one won't go anywhere unless GW is happy with what's offered.

Reidy in for TDK, Khamis in for JSOS cover and Re "only bringing in depth", the depth we currently have is not good enough so we need to go get some new depth.

Not certain, but I believe our draft hand post free agency compensation is likely to look like

11, 22, 40, 50

Chesser, Khamis and Reidy are probably all worth something in the 40-50 range, so I would discount those picks

Guess is that we will trade 11 back for 2 2nd rounders and maybe a third (maybe North 24, 25, 45) which should give us enough points to match Dean and Ison (2000 ish) or enough to match a bid as early as 5 or 6 with ease

What's a realistic offer from Geelong for Charlie?

I think this is pretty bang on. Would love if we could somehow land or keep a pick in the early 20's and chase either Oscar Taylor or Taylor Byrne.

There may be a couple more draft picks added to that list or no need to use our picks in the 40's and 50's if Lij, Acres, McGovern and even possibly Motlop are on the trade table.

My strategy would be to accumulate more picks in the 2025 ND and trade up for a pick prior to the Dean bid, predicted between 5-15.
