His father was a real competitor. I see a lot of potential in him, to me he looks like a good athlete, has a lot of great traits but just needs to go from VFL level fitness to AFL level. I would say that he is a genuine half forward and that is something which we lack. I would also think that he has the ability to play other positions.Geelong’s player development of players from the second tier like VFL etc is elite - sure they identify good talent but they nurture and make them better - I liked Mannagh but would we have been able to turn him into a good small forward - not sure. In any case Darcy Hogg would be worth a shot, if he’s anything like his father he will leave no stone unturned to get the best out of himself.

With a good pre season, Ashton is in the sweet spot for a break out. 20-30 possibly even a little conservative.I don't think that's entirely true. Probably not up to hoilding down a key role yet but trending well with 10.6 in nine games and looking to have clicked in the second half of the season from making up the numbers to a genuinely trustworthy kick at goal.
I think he can kick 20-30 goals next season playing as a leadup FP while improving his size and tank.
Interested to know how you see him as a player B85, his strengths and weaknesses, any potential level of upside either as a forward or defender, cheers…Wish Buku nothing but the best with you guys sad to see him leave but understand AFL Career is short and needs the opportunity to play at the highest level
I would play him as a forward but when the ball hits the ground he doesn’t apply any pressure has a beautiful kick for goal . As a defender he was ok but last year against Fremantle Buku got destroyed and clubs started isolating him one on oneInterested to know how you see him as a player B85, his strengths and weaknesses, any potential level of upside either as a forward or defender, cheers…
Reville yes please, posted the same in the game thread. Not sure what he'd cost but it shouldn't be too expensive

Appreciate the feedback, from what I’ve seen of him watching games, im not overly enthusiastic about him as a player, i think he is more an athletic type than footballer….I would play him as a forward but when the ball hits the ground he doesn’t apply any pressure has a beautiful kick for goal . He is very athletic maybe a change of clubs might do Buku well and you guys might get a the best out of him. Been on our list for 7 years and has played 41 games think the our club has tried everything also with Croft coming along Buku might see the writing on the wallAppreciate the feedback, from what I’ve seen of him watching games, im not overly enthusiastic about him as a player, i think he is more an athletic type than footballer….
Cheers…
I don’t want to pigeon hole types based on race here, so excuse the generalisation but does Khamis display similar qualities as Aleek, CJ and Mac Andrew in terms of vertical leap and speed off the mark?He is very athletic maybe a change of clubs might do Buku well and you guys might get a the best out of him. It seems that the Sudanese players have great athleticism particularly in those traits.

No worriesThanks for that.
No worries
I might be on my own but I would say a 3rd rounderWhat would you say his trade value is worth?
I can't. How many forwards do you think we need? Most doggies supporters I've spoken to prefer him forward. If Charlie is traded I can see him forming a more mobile forward line with Kemp and McKay (Moir strong overhead for his size too), HOK also an option.
I'm not convinced that Buku is the answer thereI can't. How many forwards do you think we need?
Our backline might as well have a revolving door on it, and we are forced flood our team back just to cover deficiencies as it is.
We need defenders first and for-most.
I get it but if he goes forward, surely Kemp HAS to go back. Moir isn't suited, and we need players back there.I'm not convinced that Buku is the answer there
