I have a fear Lions are beat up and may not produce a close match. The skills of both teams should make it watchable until the second the final siren goes. Only one thing would make it brilliant, pies.
We definitely don't want another 2007 situation. Blowout Grand Finals are a complete snoozefest - unless of course you happen to support the winning side.

I couldn't think of anything much worse than being surrounded by Cats & Lions supporters at the G 🤢
Not surprising. Us birds generally prefer our own kind, and don't particularly take well to feline creatures of any description.

Could there be a shitter back to back side than Brisbane this year if they win? No where near it for most of last year and fumbled and **** arsed around for a lot of this year outside the top 4. Yes im still a sooky campaigner from Saturday
Every time something comes on the radio about Lions or Cats & the GF, my automatic response is "oh fk off"

The only things which could make this week bearable are Nick winning the Brownlow & Billy re-signing with the Pies 🙏

I expect a repeat of the 2022 grand final, Brisbane assuming the role of Sydney.

I'm backing the Lions because the alternative is giving me the macro horrors already 👹😡🤐

My wish list for Grand Final Day:

1. I want it to piss down in biblical proportions from midnight to midnight.
2. I want the ground and all of Yarra Park to be an absolute quagmire.
3. I want so much water lying around that Snoop Dog gets electrocuted during the pre game 'entertainment'.
4. CARNAGE!!!
5. Extra time - twice.
6. controversy - I want an absolute shocker of a decision to decide the game, preferably in Brisbane's favor, right at the end of the second lot of extra time.
7. I want some no name player, who will be lucky to play 50 games to win the Norm Smith.
8. I want Bailey Sniff to have an absolute Barry.

I'll add to the list if I think of anything else.

How was he dishonest?
Because there is no zero chance he wasn't seething about that non free that MAY have changed the game our way late. Taking the high road is fine but is ultimately not being honest. Mitchell, Scott and many coaches would have teed off on that in the presser. And another way of looking at it is the standard you walk by is the standard you accept. I personally would prefer our coach to call out such blatant incompetence in the hope it has an effect next time, instead of fake or disingenuous positivity. Acting like winners doesn't mean acting like fakes. Show some anger on occassion when warranted. And it is proven that having a cry to media absolutely effects umpires in a teams favour as we saw when Dimwit cried before before our game this year.

I don’t think that’s particularly dishonest though. I think it’s an honest reflection of his approach. He’d probably be more upset by the things within our control than the umpiring

Fly's always gracious in defeat. Personally I'm glad he's not a whiny sook.

We all know what he thought about that non free.

You can't expect people to not be themselves.

There was still 10 minutes left, so the reality was we still had the time to win it, despite that free kick not being given and we didn't.

How was he dishonest?
I was puzzled and disappointed regarding his comments about Howe.
He said that he thought Howe hadn't done too badly for a guy who has so missed so much footy. Well if that was known, why was he selected? Fly has been telling us that players are only selected to perform, and especially so in a knock out final.
So just seemed that his post game comments were somewhat in contradiction with the picture he had been portraying over the week.
And then there was also a comment regarding Checkers. Fly at the presser said he thought Checkers played well. I don't think many here thought that Checkers played well. Naturaly I would not expect Fly to criticise Checkers in public, but he didn't have to say something which to me seemed untrue. It sounded like he was defending the decision to play checkers, even though he clearly wasn't right.
I don't think anything would have made a difference to the result (playing Parker for Howe and McStay for Checkers wasn't going to change too much in our performance, no doubt) but I just didn't find Fly's comments to be fully open.

Anyway, that was my take on it.
