I reckon NSW hatred of the mostly maroon Storm might just top their hatred of the broncos. Least the Bronx haven’t won one for a bit.

Last time I was living in Sydney it was a Storm Cowboys final and they couldn’t give tickets away, I’d imagine Brissy will travel a lot better than Townsvillians at least

Rugby League was at it's peak back in the late 80s and early 90s both at club level and State of Origin, so many great characters.

They had Tina Turner promoting it.



They also had Roy and HG calling the GFs and State of Origin games on Triple J with great nicknames like the Brick with Eyes,

Looking at a replay of the first try, the bunker probably got that one wrong, he had fingers on the ball but no downward pressure.

I don't think it will matter much the way this game is going but if the Broncos lose by less than a try it will be more controversial.

Hunt and Reynolds are probably still viewed as turncoats in NSW.

This neutral would still have preferred Penrith to win. Their success has been built on a solid foundation, I see them as a template for rugby league clubs in general, and they have done the sport proud in their period of domination. But, a bridge too far this time; I'll just hope to see a good contest, as I will in the SL GF.

I think with the Storm, they've had a succession of players that it's easy to dislike (despite their obvious ability): Slater, Smith, Cronk, Hughes, Grant. So I think I'll stick with my prejudices there! But it won't break my heart either way.

Crazy game, such an un Penrith like second half. If you’d have told me they were up 14-0 at HT, I would’ve expected them to carry on and win by 20-25 points. Certainly wouldn’t have expected them to go scoreless.

Not sad to see the reign over, shame it’s going to be either Brisbane or Melbourne that’ll win it. Go Storm I guess
