Bye: Newcastle

Amusing round as a neutral.

The Panthers trainer is a dick and realistically should be sidelined for the rest of the season. Penrith have pushed the boundaries with trainers for too long.

The Tigers/Dogs was nice and spicy as well. Great to see the Tigers aim up.

Easily the most satisfying win of the year for me, only could have been bettered if it was played at Leichhardt

In an incredible statistic:

Wests have now beaten more top 8 teams this season than Canterbury have...
That has more to do with the soft draw the dogs have had.
They’ve still got storm panthers warriors shire (and chooks) to come.

Yep. Will find out an awful lot about the Dogs in the games to come.

I'll repeat what I said a few months ago, to much derision: I still expect one of the trad big hitters to be there at the end of season, more than parvenus like the Dogs, Warriors, and Raiders.

The warriors have put in a huge run given that no one expected them to be, and their injuries but I think their race is already run

Saw it suggested that if trainers do this again they should move the kick to dead in front.

Dont hate the idea tbh.
Prefer the idea that trainers only come on the field for an injury. Otherwise they shouldn't be there.

I think that incident, speaking as a relatively unbiased observer, rather tarnished what had previously been a good image for the Panthers. Saying that, I don't think it's the end of the world. But yeah, the trainer stuff is beyond a joke. Alfie Langer started all this, didn't he?
