All season i've seen people on youtube and BF saying Rojas is a good option, will play a role for us, right age -type we should be targeting.

Second he choses Sydney, ya'll are like "club dodged a bullet there, they know what they are doing".

If he had selected Richmond, the same people would be saying "big win for the club, here comes the dooooozzzzy!!!"

I want the club to have a crack at turning around JUH and Hollands career and reputation

Rosas seemed a strange option for us....Campbell, Green, Lalor, Hotton, MRJ, Alger, Mansell....was Rosas really a list need given he's not proven to be better than most of what we already have? I didn't care either way, but wasn't at all fussed to hear him choose Sydney.

We don't win a race for a player we've been linked to - 95% of BigFooty posters "didn't want him anyway".

In my opinion - regardless of the player - it's never good to openly miss out on someone we have been strongly linked with and were favourites to land.
It's okay on the odd occasion but you don't want to have North's reputation when it comes to missing out on players.

Successful chases: Prestia, Lynch, Hopper, Taranto

Unsuccessful chases: Treloar

We will be alright and a vfl player is not worth losing sleep over.

It may show we weren't willing to overpay for Rosas. Very good chance he chose Sydney as their contract terms were more generous than ours...and for that I'm thankful. I'd be peeved if we offered any more than 3-years and $1m total and got him.

There is no way in hell Geelong could get curnow or get a deal done they have zero currency if blues take pick 17 and future 1st for him there is something going on behind the scenes and the cats getting away with it again nothing to see here says AFL

What a big game forward duo the Cats could have:
Cameron = 3 goals in 2.5 grand finals.
Curnow = 3 goals in 3 finals

which players wanting to leave?? Happy to let certain players go, especially with a bit of experience about them. Happy to pay for contracts for players going to other clubs to to get better picks in this draft

It's fine. Young probably goes and gets us a pick. And Kellaway a late father-son. So probably 4 x more young kids.

What are you talking about? We picked up 8 kids (6 first rounders) last year and we look to be getting 2 more.

We are in it for the long haul, free agents will come later.

It’s a big problem. Our squad depth in whipping boys is getting very light… imagine if Sonsie goes and dow/Ralphsmith stay injured, BF board will be in serious strife.

I do not mean they should quit, I do not think they should give up or chuck it in, I just think they should think about a change that could help them.

not trying to push players out at all or force them to retire but those with plenty of life in them, why tread water, why not not shift house and try a change of scenrary. our focus will be on the youngsters, lets get serious here

whether they like it or not RFC list is changing, it is getting younger, new good kids, with talent coming in, the focus is the future and we are looking for rapid development as a priority I would have thought

Picks is one way to rebuild & quite often, not the most reliable way unless you have a A+ coach and development team, which i am not at all convinced we have.

Club lacks leadership on & off the field atm.

What makes you think "next year" we will have players wanting to come to us? We don't control that. If the club couldn't convince Rojas to come for more opportunities and a bigger role VS the Swans then we are struggling & clearly not a trustworthy option for FA's

So what do you do to fix it? Trade out of next years stronger draft to get picks in this draft? Nope, I wouldn’t.
We clearly don’t rate the depth available in this draft. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have offloaded our later picks to get into last years draft.
Use picks 2,3 and get Kellaway. That’s enough for this year given the only option is moving future picks or trading players out. Young might make that decision for us in which case we need to get the best pick we can in return.
I just think this draft doesn’t measure up and it’s a good one not to participate in outside the top 10 or so. Use our high end selections and start planning for bigger things next year. Can also pick up delisted players if we see 1 or 2 of interest, assuming we have the list spots available.
