Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Tbh, none. Geelong has such a good system that I’m almost certain that any of their players that we trade in, even Holmes, would regress compared to their time at the Cats.

I’m sceptical of anyone on geelongs list tbh.

They have a very particular way of developing players that are developed to suit the particular role in their very particular system they play in.

The only players of theirs I’d be confident of dominating at another club are Cameron, Danger and honestly that’s probably it.

Yes it looks like saints are following the hawks path.

The hawks strategy was to get in players who could help win games for the now, to attract better players when they became more successful.

Not many people thought the players hawks bought in before last year were any good either.

The difference is Hawthorn didn't spend $8m on 6 players to execute that strategy.

Geelong won't make a fair offer. Even if by some miracle they get the currency, they will try get Charlie for unders. Look at Mackie's history. Becomes pretty obvious.

They aren't offering any deal that involves Holmes. Delusional to think so.

All we do by even allowing Geelong in the conversation is lose time, and the risk Sydney pulls the plug. Which I suspect is their strategy. Run time down and hope we panic.

We should straight up tell Geelong that they do not have the currency and we won't be engaging further
