We've got a lot of different era champions around the club now.

Woosha & Pyke from the 90's Eagles
Shuey, Hurn and Nic Nat (maybe) from the 2018 Eagles
Harry Taylor & Duncan from the Cats (2010 & 2022)
Mini and Clarke from Tigers 17-20

Kieran Jack as well

Are we going to be getting anyone else? seems like we got rid of a few and only had 2 come in.

Midfield coach - Schofield replaced by Sam Radford
Backline Coach - Webster replaced by Mitch Duncan
High Performance - Inness replaced by Phil Merriman
Ruck Coach (Part time) - Turnbull yet to be replaced- Naitanui has been approached but was still being worked through how he can fit it in with his existing commitments both within and outside the club

No other departures I’m aware of

Whether we need to change/add to our development coaching is a matter for debate

Spitballing

Cripps in the clubs new role as "small forwards development" coach. Time to push him out to pasture to open list spot and bring in the likes of Williams, wally, etc and spend the soft cap to retain the good person/IP

Like your thinking but I suspect once Cripps finishes with the AFL he’ll be back home up north the next day/week

Pyke said they are paying over the cap the past year.

Marco Bello is head of development from Adelaide helped there rebuild and seven years at hawthorn> i would imagine he would be on good money as he is quite sought after in the development space.
Nigle lappin has been at geelong for 17 odd years in development and continuity is something discussed which is important so I feel like Jacob Brennan copes a hard whack because he has been in development coaching across the past 5 years. That stability I think is really important still for the program. Rather than full turn over.

i wish eagles would interview alot of the staff behind the scenes to broaden the understanding of what goes into development.

I saw Luke Shuey at the Royal Show today - he’s in a moon boot and on crutches again, he injured himself playing soccer of all things. I had a good chat to him, absolute legend of a bloke. My son was especially stoked to meet him. Shame Luke’s body failed him so often, he had more talent in one pinky than many of the current players on our list have in their entire body.
Poor bloke, Just saw his lost his 15 year old dog.

Like the idea of bringing in Swallow out of retirement in a rookie spot deal that sees him permanently at the Beagles could be worthwhile. As a player the step down in competition may suit his body and help make the Beagles competitive. He would add leadership and professionalism to both the teams, and it could eventuate into a permanent development coach role with the team going forward.

Thought Harry Taylor was more involved with the playing group than Keiran Jack.
Mitch Duncan certainly mentioned working with Harry & Shannon Hurn was a positive for him.
Anyway, liking our recruiting of staff.
Mitch Duncan is a big score imho

Kieran Jack's in a corporate role.

Id honestly just offer Swallow the captaincy of Beagles and a Development role within the AFL side. Saves having to use one of the rookie spots for him

If we employed some assistant coaches for the BEagles (in a pseudo-development role), would their salary come from our soft cap?

Nic is probably the best pure tap-ruck I’ve ever seen… but I wonder if it’s even possible for him to teach the things he did to another player.

“Alright, Matt Flynn… all you need to do is jump six feet into the air and get your knees up around your opponent’s head level, then you palm the ball about twenty feet downfield while all the midfielders are still running around the centre square, then you just go and get the ball yourself and kick it inside 50. It's really simple.”

Honestly don't hate it - as professional with training and prep as they come, and definitely knows how to get the best out of themselves for a long career. Under-rated club legend.

Tutelage under Cox & did a lot of work to improve his ruck-game post injury when he lost the leap he once had. Honestly think he'd be a great get.
