They would ask for similar if it was a club chasing Sid Draper.

Yeah we need a defensive KPD and Butts is that player, in a trade Sanders would probably be worth more but you pay a premium for a position of need so the value works out a little better.

I don't. I'd want a bit more than that from them. At least a 2nd rounder on top. Think about what we gave up for Sanders. He showed some very promising signs this year and I'm expecting him to have a big jump up in form in 2026.

It is a position of need for them as well a back up FB isn't a premium

Theyre desperate for a mid. He's a high draft pick and hasnt cemented himself in the midfield with us, so they'd think he might be gettable. Smart play

Butts plus Crows Future 1st for Sanders and our F2 or F3 makes a lot of sense, especially if we are confident in getting Butters next year.

Solves our KPD issue and gives us more ammo to throw at Port for Zak next year if they refuse this year. We still have Libba, Bont, Treloar, Richards, Kennedy, Freijah and then Garcia, West etc as midfield options next year.
