I saw there was a patch but assumed it was just Pro Team shit and the ever-present "stability" 🤣

Will have to fire it up over the weekend!
Some people said they had interchange issues since the last patch, and apparently that’s fixed up.

I hadn’t noticed it, but I use Quick Interchange (almost exclusively)… so maybe it was the menu interchange that had a problem.
 
So I assume this game is a bust, lol, and not worth my time.
If it was $20 I'd give it a try, but otherwise no for an improved AFL 23. Not sure if it will ever be on a decent sale though when BA think they are Nintendo-lite...

Yeah my interchange was cooked - you'd make the choices and nothing would happen. Injured players would be on the field with 0 stamina and you couldnt drag them using the menu interchange. Workaround was to just make 1 of the changes after on the quick interface and it would trigger all of them
 
Wonder what sort of numbers Pro team is still pulling these days? I gave up pretty quick but it must still be getting some people playing it or else they wouldn't be updating it so often. New EAFC today will probably impact it + end of season too

If only the game released in its current state, legitimately really fun now. Some QOL improvements for the next iteration that would really enhance replayability, but these are getting pretty nitpicky now, are:
  • AI adjusting tactics based on game situation. Not actually sure how much this happens if at all, but would like to see it more. Melbourne plonking Gawn behind the ball if protecting a lead, that sort of thing.
  • AI is largely really good now with ball in hand, but coming out of D50 they make some really poor decisions. Can often cut off their pass because they go short even if you're in the lane, need a bit more smarts here.
  • Would be a novel one, but would love to see front on contact implemented. Often I'm sprinting back with the flight and just spoil it, it's good that the marking player has the advantage, but would love to see a mechanic here that if you don't stop sprinting it's 99% a free kick. And even without sprinting, you need to nail the timing or you give away a free. Reward position a bit more.
  • Fatigue - I love the mechanic but really annoying that you have to adjust training by line group. Should be a master training override with the ability to then set each session by line. Very annoying if you want to increase or decrease rest. Also think this is too binary - either full sprint or completely cooked. Should be a more sliding scale of fatigue.

Haven't done an off-season yet so will see how that goes but in terms of playing games in a manager mode, having a ball. 4-3 and every game is different and fun. Hopefully onward and upward from here
 
I was wonderig if someone could upload the retro 1990's SANFL club and league logos into the Academy?

It’d be more than just upload… they’d have to be made as an SVG with less than 400 ‘nodes’ in them… which is quite an effort to manually do… then someone with the PC version can upload them.

Might some of these already be in the Academy from someone else?

No they're not, and i really want to make a retro 1980's or 1990's SANFL, and sadly i can't share SVG's

Hey, just wondering if anyone could potentially upload this image, wanting to create all the QAFL (queensland state league) teams and it would help if they had there main logo in the uniforms.

Been holding out. Anyone with the game think it's worth it right now?
Honestly? The game is flawed, but there's enough to have fun with. You may have to play with the difficulty sliders a fair bit to get the best experience, but I've been able to enjoy the game without touching them yet. At $60 or less I'd say it's worthwhile.
 
Not really AFL 26 related but Cricket 26 from BA releasing in November, will they get this release right or will the ship get lost at sea ? Xbox issues with patches? Wrong builds get uploaded? This would be about the 6th game released in the previous 12 months for these guys right and not a single one of them as been up to scratch at release.

From all reports AFL is playable now but how many would still be playing it, especially pro team?
