In retrospect and in light of more recent events we believe there has been a serious miscarriage of justice against you and that your ban be immediately overturned on the grounds that Oliver was shit and you should be able to express your words over his shitness to your peers as soon as possible. But only Oliver
Second that.

Lamb has nothing to do with it. We are forcing out a guy who we clearly don't want, when you do that you aren't asking for a lot in return.
A guy who'd be lucky to be in the top 100 AFL players ATM on top 5 money. If we get anything back under 50 were laughing

Yeah, I understand. So a salary dump, effectively.

Just venting my frustration is all, just a bit.

Top 5 money is redundant if we are paying half of it. To them they are getting a best 22 inside mid for 600k a year.

I don’t think we will get much but let’s not water it down too much either. Oliver is a better recruit for them on that cash than anyone Lamb has brought in for us in the past 5 years.

When Collingwood salary dumped Treloar they got pick 14 and handed back picks 26/33 with Treloar. No reason we couldn’t angle for pick 13 with say picks 27/41 going back for example.

Dreaming.

Footballing ability is only the small part of this equation.

Major discounts for his behaviour and pure stupidity put his trade value somewhere near his IQ level.

50ish.

“Gold Coast will be able to pick Jamarra Ugle-Hagan up on a significantly reduced deal,” Clark began.

“We know that Jamarra is on $800,000 or thereabouts at the Kennel, but that contract is almost certainly going to be ripped up, torn up, and there will be a fresh one at Gold Coast. That could be potentially half, maybe even less than half.

“Gold Coast, while they’re circling Christian Petracca, will have to pay the bulk of his $1.3m deal, they can get Jamarra Ugle-Hagan on peanuts (for) $300-400k. Let’s be honest, this is a bit of a throw at the stumps ... they’re not paying big money for Jamarra, this is going to be a ‘cheap as chips’ deal.

Have we had a bigger fumble trade wise than not offloading Oliver for first round picks last year and then telling him he's worth nothing this year while simultaneously trying to offload him this go round?

Seems like the worst possible handling of a trade you could do

You can blame the previous coach for that.

Oliver has actually been well behaved since last year, other than a dinky interview who realistically who gives a shit if he said he likes Pies more than Melbourne.

In reality his performance and behaviour was better in 2025 than it was in 2024.

We also didn’t push him out, we asked him to be open to playing other roles, or he is going to play VFL to work on some areas. Don’t think we have categorically told him to look around

(At best maybe we said we are open to it if he wants to drive it).
