I'm with you there, he would be a great fit and most fans have been frustrated watching us not play a real ruck for a decade and a half.Absolutely fair enough
I do think Marshall and Cats/C.Scott would be a great fit tho. He's not a typical ruck and I think he'd shine in Geelong's system
I'd prefer to keep him than get a pick in the 20s tho
Worpel and Soldo I guess. Can't smash it out the park every year.So no curnow and no Marshall
Will be interested to know who the cats are getting?

In the Marshall trade I disagree it's unders, it's just a realistic trade a 30 year old good not great ruck. Understand saints fans won't agree. The Aleer situation is a bad look I'll agree.
But I'm not sure how we can be painted as the bad guys for not trading a contracted player for unders.
Geelong have gone after two big named contracted players and so far have only offered unders. Clubs shouldn't have to fold in this situation to make player managers happy.
Character issues. Also Mollier is looking great himself.Still don't understand why you guys didn't select Dodson in last year's draft. Absolute madness.
Yeah Dodson would have been good. They wanted Molier as a kpf though.Still don't understand why you guys didn't select Dodson in last year's draft. Absolute madness.

Clearly we disagree on Marshall's value then. A pick in the mid 20's doesn't seem like enough to me.In the Marshall trade I disagree it's unders, it's just a realistic trade a 30 year old good not great ruck. Understand saints fans won't agree.
On Curnow we just went straight to offering the literal most we can actually legally offer. Not much else we can do
Marshall at his best was on the top 6 for rucks and can play forward. In the Marshall trade I disagree it's unders, it's just a realistic trade a 30 year old good not great ruck. Understand saints fans won't agree.
I don't think he will be generational but certainly top 3 in the game potential. Similar to Conway for usDodson looking like a generational ruck/forward at the moment. Anyways.
Hehe nah GOLD is...To you it would of been sufficient
Again, another one, not getting the point
17 isnt sufficient for us, so we are holding him
On our terms
Now that is GOLD!!!

Future picks has been mentioned by the powers that be at MoorabbinSurely this isn't off over a disagreement around which 1st pick the Saints would get? What did Saints really want? A player as well?
Very very frustrating
Hope we find out what really went down. I thought Geelong really needed to get this done, even if for slightly overs. Very concerned about our 2026 prospects now.Future picks has been mentioned by the powers that be at Moorabbin
Players coming back, has never been mentioned by them.
Only in here.
Yet still need a ruck..Its a win /win for both clubs saints get to keep him and the Cats dont overpay.

I dunno, the narrative on Curnow is that it's way off and I can understand that because you see what he's capable of and it's clearly elite. But with a guy who has had that much knee surgery it's a high risk gamble. I can see both perspectives.Clearly we disagree on Marshall's value then. A pick in the mid 20's doesn't seem like enough to me.
You can legally offer a lot more for Curnow, you just have to trade out players. If you aren't prepared to do that then there is no way of landing Curnow.
If Geelong had a competent ruck for the last decade I dare say they would have won at least 1 more flag.
They absolutely need Marshall.
As a hawks fan, happy for him to not improve them![]()

How much was written about Gawn being a competent forward and being exactly what Melbourne needed to balance and bring height to their forward line?Marshall at his best was on the top 6 for rucks and can play forward.
I had been thinking that the saints would be silly to let him go with the 23 man system now in place. Marshall plays forward and TDK rucks.
Saints actually made a competent decision.
we have rucks its a position we dont place much on unless you are getting Gawn or XerriYet still need a ruck..
