I heard a ruour that Mobbs is stepping down as captain of the Roys as the battery on his mobility scooter doesn't have enough charge to run from the Roys' pub to Brunswick Street Oval. Mobbs, is this true?

Yes. Well, kindah. It's a downhill run from the retirement home to the BJO, but the brakes are also reliant on a charged battery, so an risk still exists.

The battery itself still had plenty of charge but last week while out playing the Bombers, somebody switched it with a Baghdad Battery which, as we now know, is probably not a battery at all.

Apologies to BATTERY who's ears have probably burst into flame, suggesting he might potentially be made of pure lithium.

It was! A busy day, fairly warm…a nice time was had by all.

Excellent. The highlight of my Saturday was getting power back on at like 4:30pm, so it was out a bit over 24hrs. Times like that you realise the things you take for granted

Is it the Fitzroy Pinnacle? So close to the football field. We stopped in to try their food, but the kitchen was closed for renovations at the time.
