Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Apparently he’s done a medical at Sydney and met with Cox before his overseas trip.

TBH, I'm shocked GCS have gone down this path.

Sounding more and more that they would be looking to trade Rowbottom for something rather than including him in our deal. This makes more sense for us as imo we don't need a Rowbotton type even though I do rate him as a player.

Swans causing all sorts of unrest with their playing group with their hellbent campaign to get Charlie… it’s a fun watch!

If I'm a Swans fan, I don't mind it.

Their current crop needs a shake up and if they're in the shits with the aggressive movement to improve, they should have performed better on the big dance... 2 grand final no shows so something has to change from their perspective. Charlie is a golden opportunity for them.

It’s already been said - but it would be absolutely crazy for Sydney to be bandying players names around unless they were confident of getting a deal done. There is just no evidence that they are the type of club who stuffs that up.

I suspect Rowy + Buller for their F1 which gets forwarded to us. Would be an ideal result for all.

Agree but the Swans need a) star forward or even a competent forward and b) inside grunt for their outside. Rowbottom has had a great 2 years. Losing b) to help with a) - unless they have someone else on the list - would be short term.

Not our problem if they pay full value for a) that suits us.

Rowbottom has had a cracking 2 years, no doubt. He killed us in 2024 and the outside of Warner just took it from there.

Yeah pretty much.

There has been talk that Sydney are preparing something that would "blow us away"

Their first picks this year and next + Hayward is a decent offer, but not something that I would categorise as amazing.

Add the Pies 1st next year to it and then we're talking an amazing offer imo.

As for what we send back, possibly our 27F2 and our 26F3... I would be fine with that too.

Port will match any FA bid and force a trade, we will have no currency with Cody Walker

Some talk on their board that Rowy offers nothing offensively. He's great defensively. So if Mills can cover 70% of Rowy's defensive efforts but adds 80% more offensively, that's a win.

I expect swans to improve next year and pies routinely make the 8. So anticipating picks after the top 10. I would still prefer the package to include another player that walks into our starting 18
