I think they might be backing themselves to win the contest and send it forward. I don't think Brodie comes close to Boak's defensive run.

Boak attended 16% of centre bounces this past season (carried by his last 2 games), 2% in 2024, 13% in 2023.

If Brodie's attending less than 50% of centre bounces in a team, he's barely useful cutting oranges let alone anything else.

No I agree, and I'm not looking forward to the few on instagram/facebook that will have a sook about it every time. Carr obviously likes him, and he'll play him to his strengths.
